I wonder if this will tempt the average Nigerian to ignore the current perceptions of the Murano and buy one.

Pros
More expressive styling than before; roomier and more advanced interior design.

Cons
Use of continuously variable transmission may not appeal to some.

if we dread cvt this bad, I guess soon no one will be buying honda accord....cos honda is taking that route though test drive has shown theres is far better than the nissan.

No doubt CVT should be a smoother drive than normal auto gears but the problem is here in Naija the servicing of CVT is almost a call to condemning that vehicle.

Even if it's done properly? I doubt. I have peeps using a nissan primera with CVT for a few years, no major issues. The oil is expensive though, but they service just fine. I think it's the CVT of the early generation Murano that's just problematic, it doesn't mean CVT is bad. Even some 2014 corollas now come with CVT.
