poverty is required really not good. have you been to public school and seen there toioets. have you gone to the labs? do they have libraries. corrupt lecturers that molest female students and ask students to sort for good grades? crowded classrooms and hostels. they used to be the best but now they are dead and rotten. if I can afford it, my child will attend covenant, babcock or baze university. |

I went to Obafemi Awolowo University while my brother attended Babcock. Satisfied? So you should know im talking from both sides. From my own opinion, most federal universities graduate have superiority complex. |

Chidinho10: Most students in private universities are students that failed JAMB.Wow, 190 likes and 10 shares. I will like to dedicate this to my girlfriend, mum, dad and siblings and to all my fans out there, I LOVE YOU ALL!! Madonna offered me admission via SMS even when I didn't write JAMB and I'm sure most of you got their text message. As a matter of fact, I'm a 300L student of University of Nigeria and I will not attend a Nigerian Private University even if they offer me scholarship... |

lilprinze: All this point doesn't change the fact that private universities are just like advanced or glorified Borden school or prison , where you lack freedom to do a lot of things all in the name of discipline.not all ..IUO gives u utter freedom and its the first private uni |

Chidinho10: Wow, 190 likes and 10 shares. I will like to dedicate this to my girlfriend, mum, dad and siblings and to all my fans out there, I LOVE YOU ALL!!you ll agree with me that not all public schools are good same applies to the private once too. The frist time I applied to covenant university my jamb score was low I got 209 and I applied for accounting and business administration, 1st and 2nd choice respectively, buh after the cusat(aptitude test) they sent a text to my dad that my jamb score was low for the courses I wanted and we should "try again next year" (so annoying). We heard abt novena university I think its in delta state, we decided to try it out, so my dad sent som1 there to get the form for me(hoping the post ume date will be communicated to us) my dear, the guy came back with admission letter! Asin they dint even see my face, I ended up not going. My dad was like wht kind of sch give admission without seeing the student. I had to apply to CU again the next yr and I got 232 and they took me for business admin that my post ume score added up with the jamb was low for accounting. The thing just tire me. What am trying to say is that, there are good and bad private unis just like fedral schs too. Buh where ever you find urself try to be outstanding its YOU that matters not the sch. |

For the insults u hv all given me on this post, I owe no one apology and nobody owe me any apology.... What happens in nairaland, should stay in Nairaland. Bottom line: I am a product of a public university, lagos state university....I only wrote this article to counter a thread and give the private institution students a say..... |

feran14:you are an idiot for not understanding me. Madonna gave random admission via SMS and I received their text just like other Nigerians. I was already in 200L meaning that I did not write JAMB that year. I was just trying to explain the desperate nature of private universities who only care about profits and not standards. Your level of understanding shows that you are just a dullard who failed JAMB and joined one of those mushroom universities around. Calling you stupid will be an insult to stupid people and I know that you must be a bastard coz a frustrated sperm gave birth to you. This is what you get when you insult my parents for no reason at all. Idiot |

Is so pathetic and odious the way all dese irrational private uni are asserting dat private uni are better dan federal uni hw many renowned, eminent and famous scholar have dey Produced today dat are even making waves in d society all dis trivial talks dat all is about connection is such a blatant lie. U see a versatile and an ingenious federal uni students showcasing deir prowess making significant project in dier final year project dats is so conspicuous hrough out d federation employers despise and loathe private uni graduates a lot because dey are not proficient, dexerous or intellectual dey are all mediocres federal uni are d best and will always be d best #FUTA |
| Re: 6 Reasons Not To Attend A Public University by Pasca07: 7:26pm On Nov 14, 2014 |
Saaog:chai,i can see a sign of frustration and bitterness in ur write up,where did u got ur statistic that through out the federation employers despise private univ graduates?u even made mention of eminent scholar?lol never compare universities of those days with the present ones, simply because they r living on past glory......besides pls mention the significant project the present fed univ graduates have invented that helps our society.... |

At this stage, I believe government cannot provide education for everyone. If we have organisations who can run private schools...Fine! Every private school student did not fail JAMB and PostJAMB. My brother had ovr 240 in JAMB and 82% in post UTME this year, yet Unilorin did not admit him (I still can't believe it), he's in Babcock now. Same thing happened to me in 2009, passed JAMB nd postJAMB for OAU, yet I was not admitted; probably because of the level of corruption in public school systems, you must know somebody. Are we supposed to wait at home and keep trying for subsequent years, maybe I will stl be waiting by now? Lool During my service year, I met a lot of public school students who couldn't communicate well. Yet I feel that's the individual's fault, you should develop yourself, either you are a public school student or otherwise. |

Pasca07:me frustrated? I jst pity u is so pathetic about d way u unleashed ur utterance u so ludicrous for dat ur statement nigeria is still an underdeveloped country but I will still tell u dat is because our gogernment have neglected and deregulated d educational sector if it were to be US, CANADA or UK student embarking on significant project we been bestowed with accolades and even bee encouraged and motivated by Government and it will propelhim or her to showcase his or her ingenuity d more but in nigeria government are apathetic to accede to the plight of student so dis makes dem to be demotivated and demoralized but still u can't compare a federal uni to an odious and repulsive private uni, private university student are spoon fed, treated like puppet and employers detest and abhor dem a lot d only reason private university is employed is through nepotism and favouritism Federal university will be the best and will always be the best period let dat get into ur mendulla oblongata |
| Re: 6 Reasons Not To Attend A Public University by Pasca07: 4:15am On Nov 18, 2014 |
Saaog:u see what i have been saying?pls don't pity me because u don't know me.After reading ur post especially where u stated that employers detest private univ graduates it shows the level of ur bitterness and frustration....so you are implying that when govt says graduates are not employable it means they r refering to private univ graduates?lol it shows how myopic u are, besides lot of privates univ graduates that i know are doing wonderfully well in their respective feild.so i will not support u on the notion that employers detest them but it is u that detest them....... |
| Re: 6 Reasons Not To Attend A Public University by Saaog(m): 1:54pm On Nov 18, 2014 |
Pasca07:lol at least u not blind and u not clueless I said dose private university graduates employed in a company is based on nepotism access bank and some organization abhor and loathe dem a lot, have not seen in access bank here dat dey are employed dere was one dat graduated from crawford before u knew it d humanresource manager threw his CV and a duplicate of his certificate I was amazed and astonished It was dere I knew dat is in deir policy and law it something dats so conventional dat nids to be adhere srictly to so mr man some organization still abhor dem with passion its well. |
| Re: 6 Reasons Not To Attend A Public University by Pasca07: 3:40am On Nov 19, 2014 |
Saaog:lol, imagine u used access bank to judge ur claims.I have seen lot of private univ graduates working in banks like first bank,Gtb,Uba and zenith,go to communication companies, alot of them r working at MTN,Glo, etc which means ur assertion that employers detest them is baseless........ |
| Re: 6 Reasons Not To Attend A Public University by Saaog(m): 9:05am On Nov 19, 2014 |
Pasca07:mr man dats a blatant lie u jst assertin dat dey are working in alldose multinationals u mentioned jst to exonerated and extol urself u talking as if u ve been to all dose companies is as if u are a researcher lol dnt u have work trailing other pples progress but still wat am saying his d motive why dey are employed his based on nepotism and favouritism not base on merit most of the folks I private uni are wards of aristocrat and influential men in d society diers is jst for deir children to have the odious and repulsive certificate and resume in deir fathers company mr man to be candid and sentiment apart all dis loathsome private university are money making venture dey are not a sophisticated or cosmopolitan univeristy dey are based on extortion #Jabu, #crawford, #caleb, #crescent, #bowen #achievers #wesley #convenant #igbins etc are dey a prestigious university compared with #unilag, #ui, #oau, #unn, #uniben, #futa, #futo #futminna u can't compare sleep to death now lol d reason why dey are employed is basd on prefrential treatment and nepotism not on merit because dey are not proficient and prowess dan federal university graduates and dey will neva be period let dat get into ur cerebellum. |

| Re: 6 Reasons Not To Attend A Public University by Pasca07: 5:22am On Nov 20, 2014 |
Saaog:How can u compare a university of 30yrs above with new univ?like i said i have lot of ppl that are working in all the aformentioned companies, which they r doing wonderfully well...lol it shows how myopic and bitter u are for saying private univ graduates don't get those jobs on merit.if u still insist that private univ graduates don't work in those companies then u need to hit a nearest psychic hospital.....what i can deduced from ur write up is jealousy.... For ur information we have more jobless federal univ graduates roaming the street than private univ grads in nigerian...... |
