Aminu Tambuwal, has withdrawn his
presidential ambition, that has polarized All
Progressives Congress, APC and will soon
declare his intention to join the Sokoto State
governorship race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Though some members of the House had
purchased the APC presidential nomination
forms for Tambuwal, urging him to go for the
highest office in the land, a chieftain of the
Sokoto APC confided last night that the
stakeholders in the state preferred that the speaker contest the state’s governorship. The embattled Speaker who had on Friday
told Journalists in Abuja that he had accepted
the challenge but would continue to consult
on the matter recapitulated Monday night. An APC stalwart, who sought anonymity
because of the sensitive nature of the matter,
disclosed to NewsPunch.org that necessary plans had been put in place to enable
Tambuwal declare for the Sokoto State
