Some couple of months later, I was called for medicals. After yet another month, was called to send in my payslips, from my present company.

I think there are different types or maybe levels of trainees. I know a trainee process engineer and he told me he gets 8M per annum, he will soon be confirmed. I will also make morer researches. Thanks.

ExxonMobil and Total - approx 16m-17m per annum
Schlumberger - approx. 800k monthly

The gist is, exploration and production companies pays at least 500k monthly with other benefits while servicing companies starts from 200k.

But you MUST have your masters before you can get in!

Don't mislead people please, I don't think any service Oil and gas company pay as much as 200k for entry level personnel. I agree that they earn as much as 250 dollar per day while on field operation, that is apart from their salary.

Its become obvious that most people coming to make comments here don't really understand the difference between a confirmed staff and a trainee/contract staff. The topic says entry level pay and I believe its for confirmed staff that's why its high in some industries.
As for oil and gas coys particularly the likes of exxon, total and shell. Pls google it and u will see the man that says its 16-17m tells no lie. Excluding the fact I have a good friend who's a reservoir engineer. She told me herself and i didn't believe I had to google it. Its a world standard just like he said...u cud be deployed anywer.
