Can You Allow Another Woman To Breastfeed Your Baby? by okooloyun1(m): 2:03pm On Nov 18, 2014
I went to the market to buy some things yesterday. There was a baby boy crying seriously very close to d woman i was buying from, suddenly d woman grabbed d baby boy and started breastfeeding him. My thought was that she is d mother, some minutes later d real mum emerged, she thanked d woman breastfeeding her baby and carried him away from her.
Seriously, I was speechless i just walked away cos it's non of my business.
My questions are;
1. As a woman can you allow another woman to breastfeed your baby.
2. As a man what would be your reaction if you see another woman breastfeeding your baby.
3. Is it hygienic/safe for the baby's health.

Terrible!

Does it mean she has milk there or is the baby just drinking sweat.

Poverty is a evil thing!

Oh, OK.
It's okay if a nursing mother adopts a child or inherits a child from dead relations.
But children taking milk from another breast when the mum is alive should not happen.
Even breastfeeding animals don't share.

I don't think I can allow another woman breastfeed my baby. However, I've heard that women donate breast milk in the united states, meaning babies drink milk from other women so... whatever works. In the bible days or olden days, babies used to have nurses that breastfed them...

Honestly I've seen it happen in my family. There's really nuttin there, I had a cousin that sucked almost all the female breast around growing up ( tho they weren't lactating mothers). It's just her own way of bn pacified. She sucked the breast of her great grand mother, grand mother, aunties, cousins just name it. Once she starts crying and the mother isn't around she doesn't shut up until a breast enters her mouth. We just saw the funny side of it and nothing more.

Tho I don't think I or anyone would've tolerated her sucking a total stranger's breasts!.

Nothing is wrong with that as long as the breast milk is harmless to the baby after all we have been drinking animal milk...I know of a woman whose baby had to breast feed on another woman's breast for one week before her own breast milk was able to developed

My co-worker totally made me feel like I'd make a terrible mother because of this, and similar conversations. Natural birth...through the vaginal canal (NO c-section undecided)...no epidural or pain killer of any kind...and breastfeeding for first 2 1/2 years, or else you're a terrible mother and won't have "ze bond" w/ your child! And apparently, the reason the world is so f'd up is because people aren't complying with the above, and therefore don't have "ze-necessary-bond" with their children anymore - in essence we're breeding sociopaths grin Erm Yh, just 'passing it on' undecided

Now, if you let another woman breastfeed your child, then how the heck will you have "ze bond"? grin Seems icky anyhow, no? Geez, to my mind even a diet of 100% formula is kinder than the thought of 'my' bebe and foreign boo.bies lipsrsealed
