ujoinme:No problem. So if you were challenged to utilise the funds spent on this airport in a more effective manner for the masses of kebbi state you will be unable to come up with over 100 different ideas? If you are unable to put the funds to better use then you have a role in leading Nigeria waiting for you so don't worry. |

If some one asked you where these photograhs were taken you would probably never guess that its from Nigeria, All the images besides the 1 one were all taken from brini Kebbi - bunza road Wurogauri Nigeria where lots of pakistani and other foreigners are busy making money mining for solid minerals and rare earth metals, And yet here we are bad mouthing one of our states that many who are commenting here have never been to. The First image was taken in kebbi by a spanish professional photographer camisetaspersonalizadas - Caño Cristales - Los Ochos Does that seem like a place someone might want to visit? I would pay to go see that, If our boko haram brothers were not blowing things up. We Nigerians lack Knowlege of our territories, we base everything on preconceived stereotypes and not facts. little wonder the chadians and Nigeriens are trying to confiscate our territories because we have these riches and dont know what to do with it.

He said: “For establishing companies or industries, there should be steady power supply in order to make the company efficient and effective in the state and the country at large.” He said without electricity in the area, no company would survive emphasizing that “the issue of electricity in Nigeria is getting out of hand.” Dangote also said the planned sugar factory will help the state to reduce unemployment level. He said: “I believe that this will create about 75, 000 job opportunity in the state and also will cost over $9billion.” Governor Dakingari who thanked Dangote for investing in the state assured of necessary supports from the state government and people. Kebbi, Air Peace sign agreement on new airport One month after it commenced scheduled operations, Air Peace, on Wednesday, signed a contract with Kebbi State government to develop flight operations into its new airport located in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital. According to the Chairman of Air Peace, Mr Allen Onyema, the airline would deploy its Dornier Jets for the flight connections between Birnin Kebbi and Abuja as well as a return flight from Abuja to the Kebbi State capital. The development came just as the airline announced plans to commence operations on the Lagos - Asaba route from December 1. Further operations would expand to Lagos - Warri, Warri - Port Harcourt, and Warri - Abuja routes as it acquires more aircraft . The contract was signed between officials of the state led by the governor and the chairman of the airline in BirninKebbi. Onyema said the agreement would involve sharing of costs between the airline and the state government as part of efforts to open up Kebbi to the national air link. Opening the state to the national air link, he said, would facilitate trade and business and other socio-economic activities between the North Western state and other parts of the world. Onyema added the airline would consolidate on the operations by introducing a flight between Kebbi and Kano to facilitate commercial and other activities. He commended the state government for considering Air Peace worthy for the unique agreement as the first carrier to achieve such feat within a month of its commencement of flight operations . “We have scored history as the first airline within one month of its existence to sign agreement with a state government in the northern part of the country. “The agreement is in the form of a contract to provide aircraft and develop the new airport,” he said. We have also scored another first as the newest airline to sign an agreement with the Kebbi State Government to develop the new airport just completed in Birnin Kebbi. This agreement would entail our developing the route and attracting traffic to the new airport from Abuja and a return flight to Kebbi. The agreement has been signed and sealed on Monday in Kebbi . “Part of the terms of the agreement would involve development of that route. We intend to extend the flights from Abuja to Kebbi to include Kebbi to Kano and a return flight from Kano to Kebbi . “The agreement with the Kebbi State Government is part of efforts by the governor to open the state to all parts of the world through air link, which he has started with the construction and completion of the airport. The airport would accelerate the socio economic development of the state . The airport is expected to generate jobs for people of the state . It would attract investment in many sectors of the economy”. With the airport, Kebbi State has joined others using aviation as a catalyst to facilitate trade and business . The place is very safe. We are very excited over the partnership with Kebbi State, and Air Peace would play its role accordingly”, Inuema added. On the airline’s expansion plans,Onyema declared : “From December 1, 2014 , we are expanding our operations with flights from Lagos into Asaba International Airport. This is not just plan for December, but we have had it in the pipeline . We consider Asaba Airport an important route .As more of our aircraft arrive , we would go beyond Asaba Airport and extend flights between Lagos and Warri . We will also extend flights between Warri and Port Harcourt and a return flight from Port Harcourt to Warri.” http://www.tribune.com.ng/news/news-headlines/item/21998-kebbi-air-peace-sign-agreement-on-new-airport |

Has any of the critics ever heard of famous Argungu Fishing Festival? guess where that festival holds? Kebbi State, Does it attract a lot of tourist and visitors? One would think that The most famous fishing festival in Nigeria would be in the coastal areas, If you thought so you are wrong its in the North western state of kebbi, And some uninformed person will open their mouth to say kebbi has no tourist potential nor need an airport. There are lots of tourism potentials in Kebbi and sokoto areas, If the spate of violence ends in the north, The North could be a tourist heaven In Nigeria, they have the nicest topography in the country. |
