Why is there always that dot on number 5 in most cell phones?

The same goes for computer keyboard. It has a
raised dot on the letters 'F' and 'J'

It's a touch locator. Notice there's a mark on the "F" and "J" on a QWERTY keyboard. They let you know where your fingers are on the keypad/keyboard. Especially useful on a telephone's keypad for those with sight issues.

It's for those who touch type (Typing without looking at the keyboard). It helps touch typists to position their fingers properly on the keyboard when typing.

If you typed properly with your keyboard, you'd know why F and J have those dashes.

Remember what the "home row" keys are?
The left index finger goes on the F while the right one goes on the J.

The dashes are for locating them without looking at the keyboard.
