You people speak as if you speak the minds of these girls that were raised in such society, nurtured and catered for by parents that believed in that culture and lived with it.

Aren't we overreacting already - It is a fact that even women of Northern Nigeria regard all Southern women as whores and irresponsible because they believe that as long as they cover all their body and got married off at early to one man that their level of chastity is far way better of than you guys down south or pro western ideology. So, I find it very disturbing when we shout 'pedophilia' but you never get to hear even the most educated women among them from the North saying any word about it.What does that tell you?

Moronic fuuktard, you pulled more of this from your arsse?

You have diarrhea?

The problem is; when she is arraigned what defence can her lawyer convincingly plead for her. I really can't see any. There is no doubt that she committed premeditated murder. law and emotions are very different. The law says that anyone who commits murder should be sentenced to death and that is it.
If she is allowed to go scot free, then it lays a precedent and will certainly encourage other child brides to consider killing their husbands. Part of the duty of the court is to lay down punishment that will act as deterrent to others and letting her go in this case wont help matters at all. We might not like it but the law is the law.

Intelligent laws are not rigid. They give judges flexibility.

She faces a maximum of a death sentence, not necessarily a must "death sentence".

An intelligent judge would give her a sentence, if somehow found guilty of the charge, of 2 years of never cooking for any other human being.

It is not in doubt that she was married against her wish. the pertinent question is; was killing him the only solution? I don't think so. This is clearly a case of premeditated murder and the punishment is clear. If all child brides in northern Nigeria were allowed to poison their husbands, what do you think will happen? She committed murder and should face the consequences.

What are d consequences of committing Murder in Nigeria If I may ask? Wat happened 2d masterminder of nyanya bomb blast in Abuja?... 'Set free'. Wat about d so called Senator who is a sposor of BH?... 'Free man' And Kabiru Sokoto wo caused d xmas day blast in d church at suleija?...'Cooling off in jail with NO death sentence'. These pple killed 100s of innocent citizen yet are free. Then Y shud her own case be diffrent wen d culprits involved are guilty of child abuse

Tamaris1:
As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in:
United States — Muslim 0.6%
Australia — Muslim 1.5%
Canada — Muslim 1.9%
China — Muslim 1.8%
Italy — Muslim 1.5%
Norway — Muslim 1.8%
At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and
among street gangs. This is happening in:
Denmark — Muslim 2%
Germany — Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7%
Spain — Muslim 4%
Thailand — Muslim 4.6%
From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to
their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the
introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby
securing food preparation jobs for Muslims.
They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply.
This is occurring in:
France — Muslim 8%
Philippines — Muslim 5%
Sweden — Muslim 5%
Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%
At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow
them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic
Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the
entire world.
When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase
lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris ,
we are already seeing car-burnings.
Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and
threats, such as in Amsterdam , with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and
films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim
sections, in:
Guyana — Muslim 10%
India — Muslim 13.4%
Israel — Muslim 16%
Kenya — Muslim 10%
Russia — Muslim 15%
After reaching 20% , nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:
Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%
At 40% , nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:
Bosnia — Muslim 40%
Chad — Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%
From 60% , nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers
of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic
ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya,
the tax placed on infidels, such as in:
Albania — Muslim 70%
Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%
Qatar — Muslim 77.5%
Sudan — Muslim 70%*
After 80% , expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in:
Bangladesh — Muslim 83%
Egypt — Muslim 90%
Gaza — Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%
Iran — Muslim 98%
Iraq — Muslim 97%
Jordan — Muslim 92%
Morocco — Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan — Muslim 97%
Palestine — Muslim 99%
Syria — Muslim 90%
Tajikistan — Muslim 90%
Turkey — Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%
100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace. Here there’s supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:
Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
Somalia — Muslim 100%
Yemen — Muslim 100%
Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the
most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood
lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.
This should be a thread on its own

Don't compare the two cases. It is very hard to prove a case of terrorism beyond reasonable doubt against an accused person. The facts of this case and the evidence is not in dispute. The murderer has also apparently confessed to the crime. This is clear cut unlike kabiru sokoto's case. If those who killed hundreds of people are also caught then they should also be sentenced to death just like this girl. Let us remove sentiments from the operation of the law.
The man also has a family and loved ones. Have you thought of what they must be going through. Their brother, son, uncle was killed by a girl that was willingly betrothed to him by her parents.

2 years? Do you know that she killed more than one person? shocked At the very least she should be sentenced to life imprisonment. At least in prison there will be no husband to r.ape her every night as some have alleged. After serving 40 yrs, one lenient chief judge might free her.

Yes. That intention is presumed. The principle of law says that a man is presumed to intend that which is the natural consequence of what he does. If I shoot into a market intending to kill my enemy, but the bullet hits someone else who dies, I am still presumed to have intended killing that person.
She willingly put poison in a food knowing that anyone who eats thereof would die, the law would presume that she had the intention of killing all of them.

She is a child that means she is likely incapable of reasoning that there would be collateral killing and you cannot attribute such presumed intention on her or award the penalty of intentional killing.

Itz a great shame that cannibal-like-tribe with stark illiteracy tag is part of this country...
Imagine getting married at the age of 14
This alone is murder in disguise (slow one for that matter)
All to in a bid to fulfil one stupid Sharia law
If I were to be that gal
I won't murder only that stupid man
But also all the pple that attend the marriage
Xpecially those rotten-teethed imams
That conducted that idiotic marriage
Imagine everybody living by this outright nonsense law
My little sister would be gearing up for marriage nxt yr
God Forbid
If u killed that girl
U will still have more to kill
I read a comment d idiot was saying it meant to serve as deterrent to others
After many assassin have been killed... is there no more assassins?
Continue to use that disgusting law
U will sooner wipe away all ur tribe's future

Yes. I have serious issues with someone taking the lives of FOUR!!!!!! human beings and then people like you advocating for her to get a light slap on the wrist. Human life is sacrosanct and the sanctity of human life has to be protected. If the judge can't send her to the same place she sent those men, then life imprisonment is appropriate. She took four lives. Haba!
Before the state prosecutor will be asking for death sentence, the A.G and the DPP must have considered the case from all angles and come to the inevitable conclusion that they did. I completely agree with that conclusion.

Look at it dispassionately from the angle of their religion and culture. I agree that the practice of giving out little girls as bride is cringe worthy but that is d accepted norm over there and their religion allows it. Whether we like it or not, her parents gave her out to him as wife.
If the man were to be your brother or relative, would you be happy for his killer to go scot free. My opinion is that law and sentiments don't go together and that is why the state prosecutor is asking for the death sentence in this case. Do you think the A.G of the state would not have considered all aspects of the case before deciding to push for the death sentence.

It is a very bad culture and should be stopped that is why that girl should not be severly punished for it. Yes if the man was my relative I would be sad but I would know he deserved what he got.
