I have been waiting to post this....

As the year 2014 is finally coming to a gracious end, i have decided to host the First Nairaland Rap Cypher.

* A Rap Cypher is where Emcees rap in turns. It was initially freestyle rapping,but it has tremendously evolved since we are in the age of pre-writtens and rappers always try to outdo themselves in cyphers... BET cypher is a good example.

* And a cypher is where we know who actually has the bars and who doesn't ..
* There's lot of freedom in a cypher and Emcees don't have to rap on a topic in a cypher, but can rap on anything. The most popular approach Emcees use in Cyphers is Braggadocio and some Emcees even diss imaginary emcees/people or diss a particular person by name dropping.


**Based on the performances of the year 2014, I have chosen the most consistent, talented, skillful and most worthy Emcees to be in the first Nairaland Rap Cypher.

* Its going to be held every year, around December. Many fb and twitter rap heads are waiting for this to happen and links to view.

* I also plead with the Mod or whoever pushed my previous post to the front page that this should also be on the front page when I post the verses.

* After the verses have been posted by me, 3 weeks from now, the best three verses from the cypher will be announced based on Votes from our regular members here and based on the votes of neutral people who will comment when it makes the front page.

** if you don't make the list, don't take it personal. it's just that we have limited space and I have to choose the hottest and most consistent emcees throughout this year.

** The length of the verses for the cypher is-- 30 lines.
** whenever your verses are Ready, you are to post it to my E-mail -- Mykoolswags@yahoo.com

* I am gonna post all the verses on 21st December, so all Emcees should endeavour to send their verses on or before December 19. I also advise all Emcees in the cypher to start scripting so as to avoid rushing their verse..Remember this is the first nl cypher..
* And please If you are chosen, I am begging you not to shy away and help in the growth of this Cypher by giving in your best..
