The Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has ordered the immediate reduction of the tuition fees being paid by the students of the Ekiti State University from N50,000 to N30,000.

The governor also directed the school to allow the students pay the fees twice.
Fayose, who gave the order while featuring on a radio/television programme: “Meet your governor,” on Saturday, said his administration would also ensure an enabling atmosphere for teaching and learning in all state-owned institutions in the state.

I hate it wen politicians trivialise education.... D tuition shud be fixed and if dia is going to be any reason to increase it , it has to be plausible........ I kno some pple from ma area who were caught off guard by d unprecedented astronomical increament in d oau sch fees....

Nice move by d gov... Buh dey need to seek expert advise before making any decision concerning the education sector...d effect of wrong decisions takes yrs to fix

That's a good move Mr governor keep it up. Education should be sub sidized in the country. We don't need to pay exorbitant fee. I hope other governor can immitate this
