The administration of GEJ is trying to reduce Nigeria's recurrent expenditure to below 40 percent and APC is planning to increase it to 70 percent. sad
The proposed APC welfare scheme for youths above will send the Nigerian economy down to the deepest pit of economic collapse.
Their next line of defense would be about corruption , the rot in the system and the fat allowances the lawmakers and the senators are taking home , as if the whole shameless act is a PDP thing alone we thank God that their members are equally in the same house and has never proposed a bill neither raised a motion to reduce their jumbo pay by at least 40%.

APC is bereft of ideology and party orientation, what they are only after is to grab power at all cost and of course I guess we all know what happens when a clueless party without manifesto like the APC with too many unreal promises takes over power - Economic chaos becomes the order of the day.

South Yemen is fighting for independence from the North. ..what are the eastern and southern Nigeria waiting for? Igbo has no similarity with the Yoruba and Hausa...

And why are the Yoruba not writing and propaganding for the removal of East and South from Nigeria so that Buhari will be their president?

We are not only discussing "affordable housing" with respect to a one off fee, we are talking "affordable" housing with respect to mortgage. The question to ask is, how much is required to make a bid? What is the monthly/annual commitment of the beneficiaries to service the mortgage? Are these cost affordable to the low and mid income earners? Are these cost fair? These are the questions that needs to be answered.
With respect to "low cos housing" like it was done during Jakande's era, the cost of the flats were low and cheap that people could afford paying a one-off fee for it. But the quality of the house can't be compared to those of expatriates and senior officials of parastatals. The Fashola scheme seek to provide quality housing to the masses, but affordable as payment is on phases and on a long term. Anyway, let's answer the above questions first.
Yes let us continue I really want to touch on the health care that you pointed out as well.

Back to affordable housing:
We first have to analyze the reality of A. Them securing the loan B. Affording the loan throughout the 10 year period. But first we have to factor in the average income and expenditures of a potential Affordable Housing candidate. Let me also bring the fees and other stipulations layed out on the website. http://www.lagoshoms.gov.ng/

Alhaja Adetoun Mustapha Estate Ijaiye, Ojokoro 3 bedroom flat
A three bedroom flat goes for N11 million in this brand new complex built and commissioned by Fashola
at the lowest interest rate 9.5% shocked which maybe only 1% will qualify your payment to the bank every month is ......
N99,000 almost 100 grand a month is that affordable my Dear friend to an average Lagosioan huh

Bro no de fall your hand. Recurrent means all monies to be spend on running government. Eg stationeries, salaries and allowances of government officials and civil servants, pensions and gratuity, and other sundary expenses acrued to "AN office".

Capital expenditure includes all those monies that goes to the public, like infrastructure, social services, educational projects etc but not salaries and allowances or pensions.

In simple definition: whatever goes to the public is capital. Whatever is used to run government and parastatals is recurrent

Sorry to disappoint you, Biafra is already happening. This is an underground movement for the betterment of Igboland. We don't make noise we just continue to build industries, create jobs and direct our leaders to build infrastructure, where it suits our industries. A silent revolution. So don't bother yourself. Do you have anything constructive to add on how APC plans to pay for this Manifesto?
All u ppl care about is some old fashioned revenge

You are very correct thank you for joining this conversation. All we want is what is right for our country. Let us think and reason as you have done now like intelligent adults, to come up with real solutions not empty promises from empty heads. I truly think that APC does not realize the mistakes they are making, hopefully this will better prepare them for 2019. You can no longer fool us we know who is working and who is just posing.
You know, it's easy to roll out fantastic looking plans that sounds excellent to the ears. But there's a big difference between rolling out good looking plans and feasibility. PDP knows better now because OBJ made the same mistake with the power sector during his time.

It is not about revenge but self determination as recognized by the United Nations charter of 14 December 1960, which was unanimously adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.

Like you pointed out and my mentor always tells me IDEAS ARE CHEAP!
I am currently looking for teachers o any other civil servant pay scale to point out how N100,000.00 a month for mortgage is not "affordable"

What is your point? There are houses of 4.5 million and all. If you can "afford" 11 million worth of mortgage what's the biggie? Why are you being so dull? Here is the deal here... Application fee is N10000, on successful bid, the applicant will be required to pay 30% of the total cost and he will be given keys to the apartment. Now this applicant can spread payment for as long as he likes but a minimum of 10years.he can also pay a one off fee. Now, an applicant that takes a 2BR or 3Br house of 6million, is to pay N1.8million at first payment, before deciding on his monthly or annual payment plan and the duration. To rent a 3BR apartment alone of such quality is about N1m to N1.5 million annually in lagos State, and people rent them. Why can't you appreciate what the LASG is doing? Even students do bid for the houses and poor civil servants. You need to follow the process or ask people. Stop displaying ignorance

No we are not. Recurrent expenditure in sane society is always lower than capital, but fg is the reverse. Social welfare is Capital Project and not recurrent. Meaning it is for the benefit of the overall public and not restricted to government officials. Again, it is not permanent as money expended on social welfare like unemployment benefit reduces when more people gain employment. Again it is capital project!!!! Which is the right thing to do.

Per Mrs. Bridget Nunoo, head teacher, First Star, Fagba, Lagos,
private school teachers in primary school are paid N12,000 per month. Senior staff between N20,000 and N30,000 per month. You are talking about ignorance? State pays less!
http://www.punchng.com/education/private-school-head-teachers-seek-better-pay/

If they even get paid!
Nigeria Union of Teachers, Lagos State branch, on Thursday said it would join the NUT strike to protest against the non-payment of the 27.5 per cent Teachers Salary Scale by some states.
They pay foreigners http://www.seekteachers.com/jobs.asp?country_id=62 a wooping N300,000 to teach in Lagos is that fair that outsiders get paid way more. APC is truly the government for the Elite by the Elite.

Exactly. The major problem with the Nigerian budget is the bogus political allowances of political office holders especially the National Assembly. That has been the problem since 1999

http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2014/07/17/lagos-teachers-angry-with-fashola/
Primary and secondary school teachers in public schools in Lagos State, western Nigeria, have expressed dissatisfaction with the way they were being treated by the state government and have vowed to express their feelings through their votes in the coming governorship election in the state.
Those who spoke with P.M. NEWS on Wednesday morning cut across primary and secondary schools in the state. They complained bitterly about the arrogance of the Governor Babatunde Fashola-led government officials over issues pertaining to their welfare.
According to them, the major issue at stake is the refusal of the state government to implement the 27.5 per cent Teachers Special Allowance.
“This government has been treating us with disdain. It has not paid our allowances for the past five years. The government has not paid our Leave Allowance, Utility Allowance, Housing Allowance, Transport Allowance for the past five years. Details of all these allowances are not reflected on our pay slips.
The country’s minimum wage is N18,000 but teachers are paid less.
This is injustice and we are going to do something about it. We are tired of promises that are not fulfilled,” a teacher in one of the secondary schools in Ojodu told P.M.NEWS.
