Okay. Good to know this, Although, Generally, majority(both males and females) accept, understand and have explanations\justification for the flaws and shortcomings of our male reps and hype them to the moon and back than the female reps.

But hey, it is what it is, I have no power over that. So, I'm just saying smiley.

As long as she is most importantly a lady. Nigeria won't have anyone but a lady if we must have a female.
Tell the organizers to pick one ex-MDGN so that you guys can hype over her and forget other countries' beauty queens. Get someone with Genevieve's looks.

Lolzzz, I didn't mean it that way... there's nothing to forgive, you don't have a shortcoming in ur relation with me, SO FAR...
I also think, our female reps have had the most unusual type of shortcomings, so far.. Dillish, for instance, inspite of her borite tendencies, we'd have hyped her to heavens if she was Nigerian, just for keeping her head above waters...

The balance between being a lady and being fun is very difficult to achieve but gives you an edge. And the fact is most of Denrele's girls can't spell the word ':Lady' though they are fun lovers.

Uhhhhh..... Yet Karen won, didn't she? She was Denrele's girl and was not very lady-like or "moral" at all. But guess what? Nigerians hyped her, defended her, argued for her, convinced others to overlook her flaws, and focus on her energetic/fun side. IT WORKED. We even nicknamed her "diamond in the rough." By week 5 it went from most Africans hating her to most of them loving her.
It's 50 percent of conduct in the house and the other 50 percent is how the viewers sell you to Africa.

(Business reasons)

Let us look at the realistic picture here:
Nigeria has won thrice out of 8 seasons .
The show is a business venture expected to yield profit.
Nigeria is the main sponsor but certainly not the only sponsor.
If a Nigerian wins again most countries will boycott this show but if a Nigerian loses millions of Nigerians will stand in queue at the audition place cos frankly there is too much hunger here.
( individual reasons)
Tayo was entertaining but he had no story.
He played both the role of the hero and villain.
He was massively hated by non Nigerians.
It will be very easy to screw him over irrespective of the number of votes he gets.
(Opposition reasons)
There was never a clear cut winner this season.
Idris was the lead actor this season, he was the one that had a storyline.
The regional voting will favour him.
He is a safer choice for multi choice .
(Consolation reasons)
If Nigeria loses this year, our chances of winning next year will be very high.
Africa will relax and know the powers are in their hands and they will take it easier on our reps.
The hate will decrease in a rapid rate.
There will be little or no backlash if a Nigerian wins next year.
It will be a win win situation for everyone ( the lucky person might even be somebody on this thread)
I hope the following will be able to convince any rightful thinking person why Tayo is highly unlikely to win this year. If Nigerians can keep their emotions and ego on check they will see the clearer picture and understand that multi choice won't afford to give a Nigerian the money this year.
But keep voting though, you never can tell.

I don't know if its true that Derenle has as much say as thread mates say he does. But if it is anything close to the truth, there is no hope. Plus I don't really trust beauty Queens, they are only as Ladylike as they are micromanaged. Once they get into the house they might just Ellah up. There are good potential female reps out there sha.
Another thing, MBGN Queens are getting uglier by the year. Absolutely no hope there.

You are trying to force me to accept that Ellah's exit really hurt me( sounds familiar) the Truth is that it didn't ......but if that gives you some form of consolation then believe it,it is a very free world. grin

You are trying to force us to accept Tayo doesn't deserve the hypes (sounds familiar), but the truth is that he deserves ALL of it. But if that will give you the blissful night rest you so crave for, it's a very free world. grin

I'm not in their heads to know why, but neither are you. Reading too much into simple things will drive you crazy.
My best guess is that this being the last week, everyone just wants to relax and explode. Kinda like your last weeks in boarding school.

Maybe. But I feel Karen's win was mainly due to the massive Nigerian support that eventually spread out to other countries. If Nigerians had shamed Karen, abandoned her, insulted her, called her a disgrace, etc DO YOU THINK OTHER COUNTRIES WOULD BE INCLINED TO VOTE FOR HER? The obvious answer is NO.
The same way Nigeria's hyping Dillish pretty much handed her the money.
I thought Nigerians were very influential in this game, no? grin
