Korra did not kill any one. She is a hot head, but the avatar's main goal is to protect life and maintain balance.

Err.... She Killed Unalac.... Unalac was human when he fused with Vatu, Korra didn't get him back safe and sound, she vanquished him along with Vatu.... So technically she killed him..... Thats why she apologized to his children afterwards

The genesis of avatar bending story is that the avatar we, followers of the Avatar, first met had cocooned himself in a ball of ice for 100 years allowing the fire nation to wipe out a whole air bending civilisation!
if Aang had woken up much earlier, say 20yrs there would plenty of airbenders still.
It was not Aang's destiny to revive the air nation, that was done by Korra, she fixed the problem he helped create.

I share your passion for the last air bender. He is the reason I'm still watching Korra. Aang was awesome! Funny and guffy and when he was in avatar state he was unstoppable. I have never felt that kind of intensity about an animation.
I just think some critics here on NL are too harsh on Korra. Korra is not the perfect avatar but neither was Aang. In fact there is no such thing as the perfect Avatar. They all had strengths and weaknesses.

is nt Aang's fault its roku. Roku saw the war coming bt because of friendship he did nt stop it.
Aang inherited roku's problem, if Aang did nt run away sozin would have killed him with his people.
korra did nt clean up Aang's mess, armon and unilac are korra's prob and she is the worst avatar in the history of avatar. She use her avatar's power for play, she cant get into the spirit world easily, i just hate here.
i blame for for every thing, she let unilac seperated her from the white spirit, make her to start the avatar cycle again after all wht the past avatar has kept going 4 years.

everyone has got their personal beef with korra bt I think the general beef is that she insults the avatar name... avatars are suppose to be the ultimate benders, ready to take down anyone in order to restore balance. But of recent, it was amon then unalok, then zahir, now kuvira, she keepz getting her azz whooped over and over, she is juz the worst avatar that ever lived. I seriously can wait for Nick to kill off the damn character.
