If Buhari likes, let him win 20% votes in SE, 50% votes in SW and 80% votes in NW all I know for sure is, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan remains the man to beat come February 14, 2015. IBB and OBJ can never be alive and allow Buhari emerged as civilian President of this Country. In fairness to Buhari he is a refined gentleman, a career military man well respected, however, his rigid nature is a turn off in this current political dispensation. - FACT!

I challenge you to come out openly anywhere in Anambra and make this statement and see what will be your fate, that's if you are even anywhere in the south east. 30-40% votes in your deluded mind. Buhari will not get up to 1% votes in SE. zero your mind on it. of course I'll be here to laugh at you fools Feb 16, God willing

I don't understand where the "eggs in one basket" came from. There are 5 SE states. One APC, one APGA and 3 PDP. How is that all your eggs in one basket. The SE even has an apeeshit Presidential candidate. I don't understand why people regurgitate non-factual statements and propagate them without doing a simple sense check.
APC is only a few months old, hasn't won even a wooden spoon in Igboland. APGA are now inconsequential after the demice of Ikemba, they are now a co-joined twin to the PDP. I will believe you when they field their own presidential candidate.

Some time ago, we were hearing that the Igbo were marginalized because they were not "united", now some retards are saying they are exhibiting "herd mentality". How does "lack of unity" and "herd mentality" compliment each other? This is just an example of contradictory, "anything goes criticism". Some simple minded slowpoke comes up with these daft statements and the unsuspecting repeat them until they assume a life of their own.
Anyone telling you that were not united are those fantasy Nigerians. Igbo as a nation are united. I fought for that notion here on Nairaland for many years and I am glad that stereotype has died down. Unity doesn't mean acting like robot. I am with you on that one, except that marginalization of Igbo politicians is different from that of ordinary Igbo folk. Them being marginalized is simply their personal political appointments.

For the record, Buhari is a fundamentally flawed candidate. If you forget about the propaganda and look at his actual record, there is no way he should even get 1% of the votes in the entire country. Just take a look at the way he has been tying himself into knots trying to explain the source of funding for his quixotic presidential wild goose chase. "It was a bank loan". "No, it's crowd funding". I just hate hypocrites. Yet, everyone knows that huge sums of money simply grew wings and vanished every time he was trusted with a position. And the imbec.ile keeps bleating "kwarauption, kwarauption".
I am ready to look at your fact about Buhari that I don't know. If you have them present them. Unless the word "FLAWED" has changed, if not what are those flawed except the one politicians made up and many of you jumped on the band wagon. If you think that hsi claim for a bank loan is not true, present alternative to contradict him.
I hate hypocrites too but you can't call someone hypocrite just being blant about it. I don't give two fingers either about Buhari or Jonathan as an Igbo man. What I hated, is some politically naive Igbo people for sake of their personal greed or lack of knowledge start tying Jonathan destiny with that of Igbo nation. Vote for Jonathan if he is a good leader by your estimation, by all means but iGBOS do not owe Jonathan anything. His presidency is his personal ambition, got nothing to do with our present or our future. Period.

And you think all that voted Buhari in 2011 will vote him in 2015? Guy you need help.

I am currently in Adamawa, yola precisely. People see Buhari as putrid fever that should be avoided at all cost.

Surely, the incidence of Boko Haram has indeed exposed Buhari.

We are patiently waiting for February 14 2015 when the dogs and babboons will soak in BUHARI's blood.

PS: My little niece almost convulsed after watching Buhari cry in defeat in 2011. So, I don't want a repeat of that incident, please!

So because of what was declared after the war by the word of mouth in theory, which meant nothing in reality, in your opinion, we Biafrans did not lose the war?
Well I got reality news for you. We lost the war alright, though with dignity, honour and respect and with 3 million of our lives as evidence.

All this rubbish some of you have beclouded your heads with, what happened if this guy is to win or rig out Jonathan next year?
And then what?
Why put all your eggs inside one basket when others are separating theirs, just in case?
There are Ijaws like Jonathan in APC, including folks like Tam David West and Gov Silva.
When will most of you learn how to play the politics of Nigeria, which history has thought you countless of times?
In 2014 many of you are still politically naive, acting with your hearts, rather than reasoning with your heads. Jonathan is not even an Igbo man for goodness sake.
What the heck?!!!!
In reality, does Buhari really need Igbo vote to win? Emphatic NO!!
God bless you sir.

And for those thinking that APC will sweep the votes in Lagos and Southwest come 2015, please mark my words today:

You folks are in for a shock because Lagos and southwest will be roundly won by GEJ in a way that even Tinubu will be shocked to his marrows when the results are announced.

Dont think he can make up to 12m votes from the north again with this divide and conquer strategy going on there now.

Na yur Papa or is it those non-existent red caps that will influence SW votes?

Now I see you these dunces dont really know how flexible & dangerously manipulative Yorubas can get when it comes to politics despite living with them for so much long. So in your delusional minds, you Igbos feel your mighty presence in Lagos & SW will have any meaning by the time Yorubas "play the game of changers" for you all to see?.....

You know what, go back & study how we play politics & come give me a reply. If you are fortunate to get a Yoruba man reveal to you that you Igbos are only in SW to make up "mere numbers" when it comes to politics , maybe you'll get wat I am saying. Forget about the PDP/APC divide among Yorubas. Billions of Igbos voting for Jonadaaft in the WHOLE SW can & will NEVER stop Buhari winning SW if we want it to be that way, and there's nothing your Ndigbo-Lagos or any of those your nonentities called groups will do on it other than keep to look on like a demented blockheads.

Maybe when SW gets back to her days of one voice, then you all can kiss your GEJ ass goodbye.!!!

Bros, What would happen after this coming election is quite clear if you r very observant and conversant with Nigeria history. If the election is won by southerner, there would be a disastrous trouble but if the election is won by Northerner, there would never be any problem. If those militants in Niger delta try anything silly after Jonathan tenure, chaiiiii!!! These Fulanis/Hausas ll be dealt with mercilessly
It is very painful that so many of our people are ignorant and they will be caught in the cross fire.

@OP.

Keep your vote. Buhari does not need it because what will be will be. If majority of Nigerians are ready for change, as I personally believe they are after the 5 years horror showof GEJ , then Buhari will win without your vote or that of your household, your community, your State and your region. It is obvious folks like you will never vote for Buhari even if Jesus Christ direct you to do so.

Why not spare us these pathetic threads where you find the flimsiest excuse to announce that Buhari has committed a 'new' offence that will prevent you voting for him when we know you are 100% committed to voting according to your ethnic and religious prejudice?
Only an incurably prejudiced and biased mind could read a malice or offense in Buhari's passing reference to winning the civil war in that innocuous and innocent context of the remark.

And to use that remark by Buhari as a reason why Igbos would not vote for him is not only a ridiculous and flimsy excuse, but it is also an insult to the enlightened among the Igbos.

The General is a good man and a million times better than Goodluck Jonathan. I beg you, give him a try with your vote & I assure you he will not let you down.

What has my age got to do with this discussion? My problem is why some of you are busy taking medication for another persons illness?
If Jonathan is a fellow Igbo like me and you, I will understand where some of you are coming from, purely because of Nigeria brand of politics. But honestly I don't get it.
Look at the Yoruba and what happened in Ekiti recently, that will tell you that they put their eggs both in PDP and APC, just in case. Never mind what some writes on Nairaland, not all of them sleep with APC.
Look at the north, the same scenario, take a look at our neighbours and reflect on the recent APC rally in Akwa Ibom, the same scenario too.
Why do some of you took it upon yourselves to turn an Ijaw man's presidency and personal ambitions and aspirations into an Igbo problem?
It doesn't make any sense.
This is not even about Buhari, because Jonathan can still win but what happens after his presidency, if you now mortgage your future around his?
I want you to coherently explain it to me. Maybe you knew something I don't.
Sorry to burst your bubble but winners never stop reminding the other side. The British takes every opportunity to remind the Germans, that they won the war even though Germany is better than them now economically. Do I like that? No! But that is fact of life.
Why do you then believe all Igbos put their eggs in one basket based on what they say online as opposed to Yorubas? Not all Igbo states are PDP, right?

All I know is that this coming election will surprise people.

Anyways I and my family will be MIA vacating in some tropical island when this craphole of a country descends into the usual post elections chaos.
Re: Why Buhari Will Get Less Than 1% Igbo Vote by Kulas: 1:28pm On Dec 04, 2014
No way for Buhari as far as igbo votes are concerned.Meanwhile,i used to laugh when people counts igbo votes on the basis of South East population. It is not.Igbos generally are the ethnic group that you can find their significant population in all states of the federation.Lagos is South West that has the largest population in South West,so are these population only the Yorubas?,No!.Igbos stand as the second if not the first ethinic group that make up lagos. Now,that i am an igbo man and not staying in my South East does not mean during the elections i will for for Buhari or APC,same apply to majority of igbo people scattered across the nation.Take kano also as an example.Igbos are the second ethic group there after the Hausas, same apply to all states of the federation. So counting votes based on South East is never a correct way of determining igbo votes.
