There are so many challenges especially when you have to pick up the mantle when your parents are incapable or no more.I know there situations like this with someone now.Please share with us but let me give some I have seen.

1.If you are in a familly where there are boys only,you will definately learn how to cook.

2.You always have to lead by good examples

3.You might for go your education just to let your younger ones get educated.

4.You become the bread winner of the familly

5.No matter how weak you are,u have to be strong for your younger ones because they will always look up to you.

I'm the first child and daughter and mehn! It's not being easy o with my parents being separated. I'm my dad's wife, daughter, cook, P.A, dry cleaner, house keeper. The man would so miss me when I eventually become mrs to another man.

My dear it wasn't easy at first I just had to adjust fast to the new development. Now it's all routine.

All I know is that, it's not been easy.My younger ones are adults except our kid brother but I have to keep playing the role of a mother.Even when they have cash, they still want to take mine.They dodge house chores and I have to shout and shout before they do anything. People wey don get biebie grin

.Any how sha, I like my position as the eldest.

being the first daughter, one must always
1. lead by good examples
2. be a great decision maker
3. be firm when necessary even if they call you "lady terror"

always be able to keep the bond of family.
i love my siblings. grin

its great being the first as am my daddy's 2nd wife and u know what that is. wink

hahahahahahah. now i have a daughter too huh

as first and she is stealing dh's love. embarassed
