UK Residents, Please Read...please by sunnshyn(f): 6:14pm On Dec 03, 2014
Dear UK residents,

Peace of the lord be with you all, amen!

I'm in dire need. I have an aunt who stays in the South East London and needs a job urgently. She's married with a son and things are quite rough for the family, really rough for them.

I'm doing this 'cos I do not think she or anyone with her academic/professional standard deserves this, however, what must be done must be done...I heard that it's tough for people without permanent residency to get jobs, but I'm a firm believer that there are UK business owners and employers here on nairaland.

Please good-hearted people of nairaland, I ask on her behalf, if anyone can assist with any form of employment, especially one suitable for a stay-at-home mom.. please do not hesitate to contact me here..

Blessings,

sunnshyn

Hello SAPNET,

Thank you for your reply.

As per your question, I really have no idea...

Is there a way you can render any assistance with or without her being legal or something. Not sure how it works in the UK.

Let's talk please. I look forward to your reply.

Blessings,

sunnshyn.

There is no way help can be render if she isn't a legal immigrant. Cos, it's a very serious offence. Meanwhile, confirm her status

Thank you all for your time and responses, even those who peeped and left, I appreciate greatly.

I'm still here to answer questions relating to the topic of this thread.

However, for better answers and further discussions on prospective jobs,

Modified: I'm wondering, was the email I left here deleted? Because of security purposes I guess? Ok.

I think it's becoming more complicated as i actually taught he/she was looking for part time job. But, from your sentence. It seem to me he/she is looking for skilled job? kindly correct me if am mistaken.

Hi all,

I'm still here o..haven't disappeared yet...heheheh. It is well.

Anyone heard of this home jobs web search evaluator by appen.com? Or crowdsourcing by appen.com? I read reviews and it wasn't really comforting..

Even I received an email personally from this company( I think I must have applied sometimes in the year as I am always looking for home jobs in SA so I can make extra money during holidays heheheh)...forwarded the website to my aunt too...

Anyone done any kind of job with appen, lionbridge or leapforce??

Thank you so much...

Still looking forward to reading from you.

Thank you.

A UK resident/citizen of 27 years here. I'm also a business owner and employer. All I can say is that it will be difficult if she doesn't have her papers.

I see this all the time and I feel for people in this situation, however, as anemployer, no matter how you feel for people, you cannot joke with your livelihood. There are quite severe repercussions to the business if you employ people without the right to work in the UK. It's even more risky in the line of professional I'm in.

Anyway, good luck to your aunt. The Lord will make a way for her somehow.

Hi MadamT,

Thank you for your reply. I understand the gravity of employing illegal immigrants, I'm also not in Nigeria, so I'm aware of the consequences.

My aunt isn't illegal, as she's on a study permit. I'm also aware that students in the UK have limited hrs per week to work. So, if you have any openings for us, we really would appreciate it.

Thank you for your prayers. God bless you.

Warm regards,

sunnshyn
