This is the reason while I said that our operation to route these bh boys should be on two levels..doing a lot of research and analysis...of avaliable intel on the ground..
(a)OPERATION BORDERLINE
Objective:systematic three pronged push of hostiles towards our borders around the focal point(borno nd others east, north and northwest and southeast.
Creating a buffer zone along the almost 1,100km boder with cameroun, chad and niger...
With a combination of troops, desert combat immigration officers, police and vigilantes..

First point....from sector 1(borno) will be the retake of parts of bama under siege and push towards dikwa LGA...
Airforce will provide air cover for assaults .while.awaiting new air frames..

Required materials.at least 1brigade( 2 battalions) under the command of a capable attack minded brig general or major gen

10 to 15 T-72 (i small mechanized battalion)
15 T-55 as support.
artilery support from artilery corp.1 company(7 to 10 pieces towed) with enough shell.situated at NA held areas in bama..bofors can be placed at konduga
A small motorized batt(mraps,Apx,IFvs mix at least 28 )

A well defined supply line and swift logistical support...

Objectives once achieved..position should be held

Secondary objective:in the heat of the battle reinforcements will attempt directly from gwoza F-7 radioed in by ATR-72 on recon around the gwoza-bama road.will be scrambed to hit such..

Suprise is vital in this objective ...troops will consist of new arrivals nd on ground veterans

If Nigeria should go to war with chad, that must be after election because we will have to do with post-election violence first after which we can then go to war as a united country..

What happened to buying easy to maintain and cheap chinese drones to minitor the vast border and calling in reconnaissance mission from a nearby airfield?

Also Nigeria needs to start considering going on the offensive. Take it Village by Village and sweep them back to the border and rout them from there.

All these soldiers collecting 50 naira bribe on lagos roads should be taken off the streets. We also need fast mobile assualt groups of 20 to 50 soldiers. See the British Army dropping desert bikers 15 miles to a target against Isis and catching them unawares. Even pathetic that we don't even have a central control centre which has eyes on all units. This fight against BH is easy to win if we would just employ a bit technology. But how can we even achieve that when most officers are numbskulls and can't even operate a simple systems effectively not to talk advanced GPS systems? and do we even have these resources in the first place. War is 80 per cent tactics and how do you want to make effective plans when you wobbling around the north east like a blind man?

What's Nigercomsat's contribution to this? Or we just have a useless satellite out there?

These are the questions a sensible C in C should be asking and tasking his officers on. Was oppoortuned to see first hand the NA's guarding of a prime target in a volatile region and I must say if that's how things are carried out in other places like Borno and Yobe then we won't make any appreciable progress because the tactics, human resources and artillery was below average.

You had assets camped in a location which is a cul de sac surrounded by water and the first resistance to an outside attack is at the gate to the location. And guess what. It was manned by 4 to 5 soldiers with cellotape wrapped wretched looking Ak 47s and a rusty looking machine gun. Who does that? No eyes miles before the location. Nothing at all. One RPG shot from few miles away to the gate house from an outside attack and the gate is cleared and wide open. When BH attacks we all go up shouting when common sense tactics would have saved the situation.

Sector 2(adamawa)
Objective..recapture of michika LGA.

special forces (well armed) must be deployed ahead of the advancing bridgade to hold certain villages on the road to michika(they must have proper radio deployement as they will definitely head into ambushes..enemy strenght must be radioed in to provide basis for deployments ..

Artillery must be set up within a grid range of the outskirts of michika first.to cut out sentries and first defensive line..
Decoy companies will attempt to bait hostiles first when this is done ..the.decoys will retreat..flanking attacks are then conducted 2 suck in attacking hostile cuting them off from a retreating position...certain companies and platoons will then attempt to hold important objectives as they advance into town...tanks then move foward providing cover for squads behind.it as they push foward..
certain unit must then be sent to area on the north west of mubi into uba where NA personnel are currently.engaged..

Ordinace and personnel same as sector 1.
However more artillery pieces must be deployed due to the existence of captured units in enemies hands.

If objective is complete..area must be held and 2 companies alongside motorized infantry must rush to the border on the east towards the areas around jimeta to hold border lines

Next is..
Mungu! Na here you dey fight boko haram.. U no go where action dey, na keyboard you grAb dey trigger buttons anyhow.. You better get off that computer, join force and kill a terrorist!

There's no need for nigeria to go war with chad,we can use some rebels active i chad to do d hatchet job 4 us ,all that is required is for d president to summon those rebel leaders to abuja give them some cash nd urge them to bring their men to nigeria for advance training in a secret training facility in someWhere lik sokoto . After that they will be unleashed on chad with nigeria resupplying them wit weapons and money from time to time trust me sudan did it to chad , pakistan is doing it to india and yes nigeria can do it . This willallow nigeria to have an additional brigade at no cost what so ever to d tax payer

BH's will to fight must be broken this is why it is necessary to conduct armoured thrusts consisting BMPs,T-70s cutting off supply lines at lake chad and rapid deployment of motorized infantry into newly held territories. In any case of sustained AA fire at any part of the theatre,T-70s can as well deploy as self-propelled artillery to smash any resistance and heavy weaponry.....As they say in france "viva la guerre, viva la mercenaire" this war isn't a question of attrition but mobility.

Very true.

The Romans knew very well how to deal with insurgencies. They made an example of the rebels stronghold willing to see it burnt to the ground and left desolate in order to instill fear into other regions and provinces.

Bokos are not ghosts! They are a product of a society that has religious intolerance at the centre.

Burn michika down

the northern elites let this culture of violence thrive because it was only christians and southerners that were affected, this is now backfiring on them.
I wonder what bakassi and opc would metamorphosed to if they were given the chance.

Sector 3 (adamawa)
having seen the recent daring attack on damaturu and the underlaying issues involved as well..i went thru different intel around and i cameup with this idea.on the whole the entire operation deals with advancement towards the border but for this objective runs south down towards liberating gujba and gulani and reduce pressure on an intending new frontier gombe.

objective:capture of gujba...town has been held for a minimum of 2months and acted as a launch pad for daring raid into capital city.a buffer zone had been initially created but failed to hold when it mattered..
because of the proximity to buni yadi still held by Bh.. a massive amount of hardware will be needed to achieve this objective..

first 2 companies of special forces (well armed should be deployed thru fune LGA(to the west of damaturu with utmost secrecy(possibly thru the night in a convoy of mostly light vehicles to increase mobility and surprise..on the NW of gujba..SF will engage hostiles around the border with fika and gujba..the essence is not to attack the objective but to draw out large swaths of fighter out from defensive positions around villages in both gujba and fune...

Phase 1:a full brigade coming from damaturu will split at the South west of damaturu..one battalion(A) into fune LGA the other(b) will hold a defensive line at a safe zone away from gujba directly north of it.

with at least 6 main T-72 tanks and back up T-55(7) and towed artillery..the first battalion will race directly to aid the retreating special forces at fune..the special forces will take heavyfire but i pray with the new spirit on ground they will hold(it a big gamble).. when radio contact is made with the SF companies by BATT A they will retreat back disorderly giving BH the usual impressions.trusting the hostiles to take the bait.. the SF CO will radio in a holding point not greater than 40km(daura) from fune border.(adequate COMMS is needed)..an ambush will be set up by batt A allowing the fleeing SF officers to go thru then enveloping the hostile. BATT a will smash the attck and force the hostiles to a standoff allowing phase 2 to commerce.

Phase 2:Batt b already setting up defensive positions is safe areas north of gujba will be reinforced by at least 2 more companies ..a call sign will be Communicated to BAtt b enabling them commence phase2.. air support will arrive from Yola already briefed will head to GUJba town .BAtt b will then advance swiftly to the outskirts of the town.
air support will concentrate first of villages before gujba hitting them first before returning to base to refuel and rearm(jets) wihle helos continue to0 provide air support and enemy suppression.BATTb will engage elements of hostiles swiftly using armor(T-72,55 and GMP 2)(18) to break down attacks.artillery will not be used..if attck is successful.. BATT b with reach Gujba town on the outskirts..artilerry will then be placed under heavy fire from defenders as attacking platoons seek to establish a line of fire..once set artilery should be used on defenders fo the outskirts forcing them back..HElos will return to base to refuel immedately jets are spotted..the outskirts will be pounded again and 2 companies will advance with armour..

hostiles engaging BaTT A will be informed of the attck of homebase(gujba) and will retreat to defend town.. Batt A will go hot on their hills using GMP 2 first and letting tanks come along(to ensure a proper blankets of fire)they will suck BH directly from the SW of fune trapping GUjba from two sides N AND NW

once objective is achieved BATT b should race to link up with garrison troops from damboa and biu(not sure of status now) throu damat and that will hit fleeing hostiles to the east for achievement of phase 2 ..
BATT A will then push hostiles south dropping a company down to provide rear cover in case of threats from FIKA..troops will encircle gujba town west with BATT B with new troops from damboa and biu via damat will encircle N and hope hostile dont escape via JIRI..
recapture and mop up..

once full objective s are achieved a strong defensive line to the east OF BATT B should be established(damboa troops can handle that)as most parts of biu are not accounted for
BATT A shhould set up a defensive line west of their position with sprinkles of reinforcements coming from BAtt B AOR..
a strong supply route must be maintained...

10 to 15 T-72 (i small mechanized battalion)
15 T-55 as support.
artilery support from artilery corp.1 company(7 to 10 pieces towed) with enough shells
A small motorized batt(mraps,Apx,IFvs mix at least 28 )

A well defined supply line and swift logistical support...

..next objective for sector 3 should be buni yadi
