I hate the avatar state because it's like God mode. The avatars get their asses kicked but once they go to the avatar state, they win. The only reason the avatars don't win all their battles is that they don't go into the avatar state immediately, leaving them vulnerable to poison, etc.

It's not so almighty when they're fighting crazy opponents like Azula.
That woman lightning zapped Aang while he was in the avatar state, and had it not been for Katara and her spirit water, the dude would have been dead.

TLK does make things a bit more interesting though.

Meanwhile, really loved this episode. Even though Korra didn't fight, it was nice seeing Toph and the Suyin vs Kuvira duel. Now that was a fight

All these argument on the avatar is unnecessary. For me, Toph is the ultimate badass; glad she isn't a villain. I just can't wait for December 19.

Aang's timid nature made him weak. The avatar state helped get things done. Things he never have the lever to do otherwise. Even when he reached age 40 Thof was still him pushing around.

No on pushes Korra around. She will face down anybody friend or foe. Yes she gets her butt beat sometimes, but that girl can take just as much as she gives out and she gives a hell of a lot!

When Aang faced the fire nation, his opponent did not study him. Ozai wanted to kill the avatar by brute force, so when Aang went into avatar state Ozai was defeated, boring... (the fight was awesome)

Korra's opponents were all smart intelligent enlightened pple. Avatar state did not intimidate them they were ready for it. Korra over came, she is AWESOME!

That minute when I thought it was over between him and Eska, was when he outrightly told her he loves her just because she help him/his team.

Though i said i wont comment on this korra and aang issue, this will be my last.

we have been going on and on about issue and it seems not to end.
first of all why are we comparing Aang to korra?
cause i don't get the logic behind the comparison.

This are two different people, two different eras and two different benders.
The only thing that is similar between them both is that they are Avatars.

yes korra is annoying she damn too stubborn and sometimes you just feel like smashing your screen

she has her flaws so did aang. we cant expect them to be alike in anyway.

like i said before on this thread the problem isn't with korra but it is the fact that people keep looking back at the past (aang) to compare with now (korra).
refusing to accept that there is something new that will unfold in the present. ppl still hanging on to past ideologies hence the constant arguments daily.
