Bro, finish med school, do your house job, serve (perhaps) then go to the US for mph, while doing your mph, write your uslme, look for residency and you're good. Got S lot of friends who used that route.

Don't abandon med school in Naija. It's a wrong move. In my opinion but it depends on your peculiar situation.
correct

Thanks Azeezat! She is 21 and she graduated in 2010. She already filled tailoring, so giving her a stick is pointless. Besides, it is not unheard of for people her age to be clueless apropos of exactly what to do with their lives at such a young age. Could you clarify your submission when you said she needed to refill that ds-160 with great caution? Slimmy said not to alter the info she already supplied.
see as you write my first name shocked, be careful o. anyways 21years is a good age for undergrad, she will pray and defend what she has been doing since she finished high school

Thank you all for all these great and worthy information. I'm 23, finished Sec School in 2010 nd planning to apply to a University in The US as an undergraduate. I'm also Planning to register English as my Course ( a friend's advise ) but I want to apply for Computer Science ( I actually went for Computer Engineering training when I finished Sec Skwl and I have the Certificate ). Friend told me if I choose to study English in this University, my chances of getting admission on time is great. Now my question is,

1. Should I choose to go for Computer Science ( which I can back it up with Certificate even if VO asked bout what I have been doing since I finished Sec Skwl?? ) OR should I go with my friend's advise ( I think he knows the Skwl more than I do )

2. I want to know if I need to write SAT before I can proceed or Isn't it necessary?

God bless you as you read and Answer.

I am not a guru o, but I think I can at least speak(or type) a bit to what u just wrote. You might have to shed more light on that bank statement ish for the house to help you further. I noticed you didn't say who your sponsor was. What was the amount on the statement? Etc. Now considering that your school is resuming on the 20th u myt have to quickly get at the root of what the problem was so you can still try and book another appointment. The last time I checked the earliest date available was 7th Jan. All the best

The problem should be from the bank statement , although u didn't state the type of sponsor u had eg dad, brother etc. But my questions are was the bank statement an adulterated type? . The amount in ur bank statement was it equal or greater than the one in ur I-20? and also was the bank statement dated within 6 - month of your interview date?

hello house!! I want to first appreciate everyone who has been contributing to this thread. u all are doin a wonderful job. i am new to this thread. I have a question.. I am planning on doin my masters in business admission. bt I'm still considering if I shud write GMAT or GRE. some schools accept GRE for MBA programme. I knw i shud write GMAT cos its well recognized for MBA. bt I dnt wanna tk it cos I heard it is only computer based. unlike GRE which is both paper based and computer bases. so my question is dat will my chances of getting admission be low if I write GRE Instead of GMAT? and which exam is easier. GMAT or GRE? and also, is The GMAT really computer based only? thanks!!

Hello everyone. I saw this thread last week just days before my interview. Was at d embassy on friday 5th December. Here is how it went down.

V0: Hi good morning and smiling to me
Me: Good morning I replied smiling back at her
V0: How was ur nite
Me: It was fine thanks and urs?
V0: It was great.
V0: So ur goin to university of xyz
me: Yes I am for my undergraduate degree in xyz
V0: ok. How did u get to know about the school
me: my professor referred the school to me due to the school's ongoing research on my field of study and I also went online to research further on the school (for my mind I knew that was a lie buh anything to make my case look strong would be chipped in)
V0: When did u finish ur secondary education
me: 2006
V0: So wat have u bin doing since then? (I was prepared for this question since I was going for my 2nd undergraduate degree)
me: Well, I finished my secondary education in 2006, gained admission to a reputable federal university in d western part of Nigeria also in 2006, graduated in 2011, went for the mandatory national youth service in 2012, finished it in 2013 and started writing my professional exams in my new field.
V0: So you have bin under continuous educational environment since you finished your secondary education in 2006
me: Yes I have
V0: How many schools did you apply to
me: 5 schools
V0: Oh really? Which schools
me: I recited the schools like a poem
V0: So why did you choose this particular school
ME: The school is d best ranked among the 5 schools that I applied to in my field of study and am also particularly interested in the school's ongoing research in the area of forensic and fraud as it relates to business management and internal control.
V0: Wow. Am impressed. So who is going to sponsor you
me: My dad
V0: what does he do
me: he is a business executive at xyz multinational company in Ogun state
V0: Oh really? **Punches her keyboard for some time**Your going to need this at other stages during your travel and stay in the United States so keep it safe alright***returns my I-20 to me while smiling** and your visa will be ready in... (at this point I wasn't even sure what else she was saying cos of happiness)
me: Ok thanks. I then collected the 2 white papers that she gave me. one was address of pick up location and the other was a flyer on orientation at the embassy for intending students.

NB//I wasn't asked why I wanted to do a second undergraduate degree, or my toefl or ielts or what is the salary of my dad or his bank account or proof of his ability to sponsor me. I believe from the little I saw that embassy must have already made up their minds at least 50% on whether to issue a Visa or not and d interview is just to convince and confirm their initial assessment of the application. However, the most important factor is God. If he says yes, no one can say no. God bless you all. Success to others.

Please guru in the house, my school in the states gave me an award in an authentic certificate that was enclosed with my i-20 package. On the certificate it is writen INTERNATIONAL AMBASSADOR sholarship,With my full three names crested on it .The letter adressing this award states that; the award is because of my academic performances though the school did not require gre but I wrote it. I want to find out this, mensioning this award will it increase my chances of getting my visa or should I just mension the unique reasons that made me choose my school.Note the ambassador award is not written on my I-20 only the amout in USD for the scholarship is written.I want to know if some one here has gotten such an award let him share more lights on the benefits of this award. Thanks
