The Urhobos have been dealt a big blow. They kept deceiving themselves that they are majority unfortunately their sole candidate lost with their majority votes.

Since you guys love to rule forever, why not split the state and have one comprising of only Urhobos.

If you know nothing about what's on ground, you are better off remaining quiet. Who was the urhobo sole candidate?? Which blow did you deal the Urhobos undecided undecided

Okowa got more support outside his home zone yesterday to win. More than 70% of his votes came from the southern and central zones. Those of you without any idea about politics in delta should spare us the tribal bullshit.

BREAKING NEWS: Delta 2015: Uduaghan Drops Obuh, Asks Associates To Support Edevbie, The UPU Candidate

BEVERLY HILLS, December 07, (THEWILL) – With barely 24-hours to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship primary in Delta State, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has withdrawn his support for Mr. Anthony Obuh, the unpopular retired bureaucrat from the Delta North Senatorial District that he drafted into the governorship race and backed to succeed him in office in 2015, multiple authoritative sources with knowledge of the development have said.

The development confirms feelers that Uduaghan has been in disarray since he was pressured out of the Delta South Senate race by President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday.

David Edevbie, who was adopted by the urhobo progressive union (UPU) as its sole candidate for the governorship with Uduaghan’s influence, served as former commissioner for Finance throughout Chief James Ibori’s 8-year tenure as Governor of Delta State. Ibori thereafter facilitated his appointment as Principal Secretary to deceased President Umaru Yar’Adua, where he played an ignoble role in the power play that almost brought the nation to its knees during the last days of then seriously ill President Yar’Adua.

The party in the state had in principle zoned the governorship to Delta north, the only zone that is yet to produce a governor.

An embittered Uduaghan, who is believed to be playing the spoiler, met with leaders from the urhobo land last night in Warri and Sapele to push the Edevbie project, authoritative sources told THEWILL.

Uduaghan reportedly opted to support Edevbie so as to get even with leaders and stakeholders from Delta North for rejecting Obuh, often described as weak and lacking capacity to lead a complex state like Delta.

Delta North leaders had asked Uduaghan to choose his successor amongst Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei and Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, three top aspirants they argued had better capacity than Obuh with statewide acceptability.

THEWILL can also report that the Vice Chairman of the Delta State PDP for Central, Chief Tom Amioku, has called a meeting of all urhobo delegates to the primary election slated for tomorrow.

Uduaghan’s fragile popularity in Delta State suffered a huge blow due to Obuh’s rejection by the political class and stakeholders statewide.

It is however not clear whether Uduaghan, who has been at war with the political class and elites still has enough political capital to pull this off.

Question

1. why is it that Ogboru does not have an office in Delta?
2. Why is it that it is only close to electionary period that Great Ogboru, will suddenly appear?
3. what is Great Ogboru's Idealogy for the people of Delta, if he is voted in as the next governor of Delta State.
4. Under what plantform is Great Ogboru run this time around.

So leadership newspaper is the spokes person for UPU? Some of you should learn to keep quiet. UPU did not support anybody.

This is what vanguard reported on Dec 7th, another hearsay.

Crucially, the UPU supports Obaisi (Barr.) Ovie Omo-Agege. Among the short-listed aspirants recommended by UPU to Mr. President, Omo-Agege is number one on the list as the preferred candidate of the Urhobo Nation. He is experienced in governance having served as Executive Assistant to the Governor, Commissioner for Special Duties, Government House and Secretary to the State Government. Omo-Agege was second in the PDP primaries in 2006. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/12/delta-2015-guber-picks-pdp-ticket-tomorrow

You're dead wrong. Being ethnic conscious is a way of life in Nigeria; it's superiority complex. little wonder the Hausa Fulani is producing all the three major contenders in APC. The implication of what happened in Delta is beyond Ifeanyi himself. It is a seismic shift. Therefore, whether Ifeanyi alias EKWUEME will "associate" or not is immaterial to the bigger picture.

Even the Edwin Clarks, Junaid Mohammeds, Urhrobos, Yorubas, Hausa Fulanis and the rest of Nigeria are not oblivious of Ifeanyichukwu's identity. So, leave matter for Theresa.

The mumu is not from Delta o. He is one of those Biafra protagonists from the land off the rising sun that keeps obsessing about other people's land and can't seem to take care of their own land.
I don't know why these southeaaterners are on this thread rejoicing more than we the Aniomas. Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has always stated he never wanted to be the governor of the Aniomas alone but that of the whole of Delta. And he has always reached out to every tribe in Delta state. Now some dead-brained tribalists from you-know-where are making it seem as if he even got the ticket by the help of Aniomas alone and are already trying to bring down the bridges he has built.
Please SouthEasterners leave this thread. We don't need ur politics of bitterness here. Go and continue ur Imo vs Anambra, Ngwa vs Ohuhu etc.. fights in ur numerous threads. We don't need ur opinion here because it is inconsequential.
