Minna Jailbreak: FG Suspends Niger State Prisons Controller by TheRealMrStan(op): 3:07pm On Dec 09, 2014

Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro has approved the recommendations of the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Prisons Service, Dr Peter E Ekpendu, for the immediate removal and suspension of the following officers pending the outcome of Investigation on the jail Break at Medium Security Prison, Minna.

They are Comptroller of Prisons, Niger state Command-Musa Maiyaki; Officer-in-Charge, Medium Security Prison Minna- ACP Mohammed Buena.

Also affected are all other officers on duty on 6th December, 2014 when the jail break happened.

Meanwhile, C-G Ekpendu, has also ordered the immediate transfer of 55 officers and men of the zonal and state headquarters Minna to Medium Security Prison Minna and Old Prison Minna to beef up security in the two Prisons.

Good but only in a sick nation would someone like the Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro remove or approve the removal of prision controller..when he Himself (Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro) is supposed to be sacked/remove and equally jailed after the last immigration recruitment disaster..#death nd life matters not in this country.

Conspiracy of the highest order!
The Comptroller General must have collected enough money to sustain him even when he is removed. I suggest he be remanded in jail while the investigations are carried out.
