Ojiji Mobile, a brand of android devices,
launches its first indigenous smart phones
in Nigeria.
Manufactured by a Nigerian owned
company based in South Korea, the Ojiji
Fiery range, is being introduced into the
Nigerian market because of the increased
demand in the use of android and
smartphones.
The Fiery Range includes three different
devices: Fiery 4, Fiery 5, and the Fiery
Note 5, with sources saying that the new
devices are both durable, with long
battery life, and that they come with a
large number of applications.
Amongst others, moves such as these,
highlight the desire from entrepreneurs
from the country to reduce the Nigerian
economy’s reliance on some of its staple
sectors such as Oil & Gas, thereby
creating more of a footprint in other major
sectors.
Ojiji is an Igbo word meaning handy or
handheld.

So a rebranded Galaxy Note chinese clone is now the 'indigenous Nigerian phone' that we should support because 'we are Nigerians'?

Sometimes I can barely believe some things I read on Nairaland.

I'll support phones made in Nigeria. Or even assembled in Nigeria. Not phones wholly made in China with a Nigerian name slapped on it.

let's not even dwell on the sheer idiocy of anyone buying an Android 4.2 phone right now.

my Isheep friend grin grin this is the 1st time I'm agreeing with you on here

If it's made in Nigeria for Nigerians, then i must say, it's a total failure cos of the battery ratings. With our shady power supply, Battery life should be the Phones strong & selling point.

Re: Ojiji: The 1st Indigenous Smartphone In Nigeria by gatiano(m): 6:02pm On Dec 09, 2014
everybody today, even louis vuitton assembles from china. china makes use of her educated population. ojiji is nice and good development. use it, buy it so that the company can grow. and to the management of ojiji, nigerians will buy what they can, it is not that you make the money from nigeria and then you would go and marry in dubai and new york, give birth in london and singapore or paris. that is not economically viable for the country and your company and to all.

Its like Infinix Zero, with every good spec but poor battery capacity. Luckily for those buying it now from Konga it comes with external battery bank free.
If its not infinix zero it cannot be infinix zero.

This is not how you list specs. You need to be specific with the chipset, the screen type, camera features etc.

@op,i seriously doubt the veracity of the phones dimensions as stated,a 5.7in phone cannot possibly have a width dimension of 61.5mm as stated,if it is to have an industry standard 16:9 aspect ratio, the Galaxy Note 3 it is obviously modelled along has a width of 78.5mm,this is more like a 4in phone width and your stated battery capacity is laughable at the very least, even 3.5in Tecno m3 is equal to that, simply put,if you don't know the correct specs of the phone, desist from posting rubbish, frankly it is an affront to those of us techies..
