If 20th is on your I-20, then you're good. Just let the VO know you've made all preparations. You may wanna request for extension letter from your school tho

Good evening house,I have two different GRE results that I sat in two defferent dates. These results are reported in the same reporting sheet owing to me using the same username and password to register the Exams,But now I want to print only one report to embassy and the two results are showing on my dashboard for me to print both, now I am finding it difficult can any one guide me on this so that I can print the only one with good score to the embassy, because I woundn't want the Vo to see the second report.

Hello everyone,

I humbly request y'all to suggest the best way to go about this situation. My sister came to US with a visiting visa over the summer and while she was here, she applied to a community college with her visiting visa and she was offered admission for spring semester but it was stated on her I-20 that her status has to be changed(to F-1). She proceeded by applying for change of her status but haven't been notified about the decision yet for over three weeks and her school resumes in less than three weeks. While she awaits the decision, we contemplated and decided it's best for her to write SAT instead of spending two years in community college and then go through the stress of transferring to a four years program. So, she has been preparing for SAT and she's going to take the exam next year January and apply for four years program for summer or fall session. Now, my question is...Is it possible for her to ignore the community college offer and not attend the school in January even though she applied for her change of status using the school? Her visiting visa expires in January and I'm suggesting it's best for her to write the SAT exam here and then go back to Nigeria in January and then apply for degree program using her SAT result and other documents and then apply for F-1 visa from Nigeria and come back in summer or fall to start the degree program. Or incase the immigration changes her status from visiting to student, can she still stay in the US and apply for degree program for summer/fall while she ditches the community college that gave her admission and used to change her status. I am more particular about her status in the country because i wouldn't want her to be an illegal immigrant and mess up her chances. House please suggest which way to go about this. thank you

Note: she doesnt want to go to the community college and i think it's also a waste of time for her and resources when she can enter for a four years degree program.

there is nothing wrong with a community college. in short people here prefer to go to the community for 2 years and transfer to the university. since USCIS has not given her a response and spring starts in less than a month, if by january USCIS do not give her a valid response, she should come back to Nigeria but if she gets a reply before january, she can not ditch the community college because it was the school name that is on her USCIS data, so she must spend at least one semester in that school before she can transfer

Hey, thank you for your response..What about if USCIS gives her a response by January and probably grant her change of status but decides to sit for SAT in January and go back to Nigeria to apply for degree program and enter as a freshman in summer..Is that going to affect her application when she decides to apply for F-1 visa in Nigeria with new I-20 from a four years program school?

Walspring, I have been in contact with someone in the US who is going to help me pay the SEVIS fee. I was kinda wondering if it is possible to go ahead and make a visa appointment while still yet to print SEVIS receipt.

That's good and the receipt will reflect next week if i am not wrong.

Yes its possible and you can go ahead and make visa appointment but have it in mind that you can cancel appointment once or twice and so be careful when booking appointment..

hello everyone , I love this group and I have always been a guest so far today I have registered.
I need your help! about two years ago.my wife applied for an immigrant visa of H1B category and included our first born and she was not granted the visa due to incomplete documentation .she was to reschedule for another interview and she changed her mind.as at 11th of december my daughter applied for an F-1 visa to study in the usa after I made payment for her tuition.now the VO refered back to the non immigrant visa application as submitted by my wife in 2012.
so she want denied visa.
my wife then sent a mail to the immigrant lawyer in the usa that was handling her immigrant application then and she was told that few weeks atbhwr request and from the america embassy it has been terminated and my daughter can reapply.please if she reapply how can she convince the consular that the previous application for non immigrant has been terminated
thanks all
Dr.mathew

Sadly, American education is not cheap.
I'm truly amazed at the number of parents sponsored people who go for undergraduate degrees in the US from Nigeria. Even Americans take loans and student debt is a big problem that even the Democrats and Republicans haven't been able to solve.

That being said, I think you really need to search properly. Email the graduate coordinators about funding opportunities. You have nothing to lose. The worst thing is 'sorry we don't fund foreign students'. Press them. Email professors. It's hard work but it pays off.

Since your parents are willing to help, just look for financial aid even if it's partial. School fees is a big burden. Can't imagine having that burden over me....

So over to you. Start emailing..
@edbib thanks so much, can u pls PM ur bbm pin or whatsapp no.
