I almost shed tears when I listened to Gen. Buhari give his speech.

I know if Jonathan has a choice he himself will vote for Buhari.

These are excerpts from his speech.

I do not intend to rule Nigeria. I want to democratically govern it with your help. I seek a Nigeria where Christians and Muslims may practise their faiths in peace and security; a Nigeria that is just and where corruption no longer trespasses into our institutions and national behaviour and a Nigeria where our diversity could be used for our national prosperity.

“Through a long career trying to build a better country for my fellow Nigerians in offices both high and low I have always tried to place my country before myself.

“While some who have occupied those same positions have grown mysteriously rich, I still live on my army pension. I own no foreign bank accounts, I own no companies profiting from government contracts.

“Why then do I seek office, if not for myself? While others might prefer to stay at home watching their grandchildren grow and leave the battle to others, I still see injustices that need to be righted and I still dream of a New Nigeria.

“I am what you see before you – a simple man who believes in serving both God and his country. A man who is impatient for change, who loves Nigeria and seeks to serve it once again.

“Nigeria is our home. Let us make it a nation we know it can be and should be.

Pls for the love of Nation and your children's future vote for a man that will not condone this gross public embezzlement and waste going on-vote Buhari.

He is poor if truly he is because he lacks managerial ability. Simply put he's a very lazy and doll person. How will anybody justify why this man had no business, hss never been invited, participated or contributed to any national or international debates or meetings.

He said same thing in 2003, 2007, 2011 and is likely to repeat same thing if alive to contest 2019 election.

U missed the point Buhari was making, he meant that he does not care for wealth. Even if he had businesses, all the profit will be used on developing nigeria. This is what he means by all he can give is his all.
I think we should all give this man a try. 4 years will come and go so quickly. Let's see what he has to offer, after all, we have just wasted 6 solid years with Jonathan.

I totally do not agree with you. That he is not wealthy as you try to project has rather made him not qualified to rule Nigeria. Buhari has no reason to be poor. Most wealthy men today never had 0.005% opportunity he had, yet the used their brain, creativity and drive to create wealth for themselves and many others. If Buhari has no company that employed Nigerians, in which he is in the board as director, it means no body should bring that man ten poles close to Aso gate. Don't tell me he had no capital, his pension is over large to start a medium size industry, given over 25 years he has been out of government, with his competence and prudence, such industry should have grown. That is how you know men who can manage resources and of course, a nation. You are doing him no good by exposing the fact that he has been unproductive for that past decades, even my mother who is a retired teacher made more out of his pension and time. I insist, if this man cannot show us that he can manage a more organised society based on evidence of real sector management, let no one come out and be preaching this stale sermon. Ok, he is an anti- corruption crusader, tell me how many anti corruption organizations he is a member of the trustees, or how many times he had been resource person/consultant to any global brand in anti corruption. You people should stop creating over-sized personalities for this man. He will soon have multiple personality disorder because he has been sheepishly trying to live the new life created for him. aah!
