Every now and then people(especially politicians) talk about the youth being the future of this country, whilst reading from their carefully prepared speech, they make promises of empowering the youths, giving us opportunities to air our voices and participate in the affairs of this great country.........and we love to hear those sweet words!!!

But yesterday after the result of the APC presidential primaries election was announced and I saw Buhari(Major General) looking like one of those awoken mummies from an hollywood movie,(no offense meant-just what I thought when I saw him) I had to google his age.........I WAS STUNNED.....GMB as his loyal followers love to call him is 71 and will be 72 before the next election..............I don't have words to express my feelings but isn't a 71 year old man TOO OLD rule this country at this "computerized" era? Is this how our APC plan on empowering the youths? And effect change? What happened to the old giving way to new......(APC had won my heart in recent times when their 'change' campaign and the good works of some of their governors especially in each of their first 4 years in power) but this one they just did.........Broke my heart!!!!

If am not mistaking, workers in almost every sector of the economy get retired at age 60 or at most 70 so why should a man who clearly looks tired still be vying for presidency when we have thousands/millions of able and capable younger men who can fill the position and probably do a better job.....are we going forward or backward Is there really any hope for the youths of this great nation.......if we are 'future' when will this future come?

I feel sorry 4 this country! We hope by Gods grace we will remain alive to see whether this man called Buhary rili deserves the hype and countless expectations Nigerians has 4 him. because we all know d truth but sentiment had blinded our eyes and am surprise as to how even literates, graduates, ppl with knowledge r easily deceived by mare words, even wen those words are clearly Hypocritical. Really, in d words of the bible, "my ppl PERISH for lack of KNOWLEDGE" oya Buhary u hv ur chance, do as u hv always wanted 2 do! I wish u what u wish 4 Nigeria!

BUHARI IS NOT TOO OLD TO TAKE BACK WHAT THE CANKERWORMS, PALMERWORMS, LOCUST AND CATERPILLARS HAD TAKEN FROM US.

If you'd just stop being sentimental for one minute and be realistic you'll understand that if this trend continues in this country....the future will never come

@op Is governor gabriel suswan too young to rule? What has AGE got to do with quality leadership?

If you pick governor jona jang of plateau state(PDP) AND COMPARE him with governor gabriel suswan of benue state(PDP) who will you rate high, in term of performance?

Do you know that you might be so foooolish more than a 12 year old boy? Age is just a number.

You used to have soft spot 4 apc, u liar deny that u are not saTANic with this. Awo, zik, mandela had all crossed 70 when they ruled. If buhari is not a celebrity why do u keep opening up trends 4 him. They say his english is not clear forgeting its only tunation, even me i have my native ascent when i speak too. When u listen to non english whites speak english they also have their own tunation. Besides who cares God used moses a stamarer to save his ppol

[size=14pt]JUST THE SAME WAY I WAS MISLED AND IGNORANT OF EBELLEI GOOFDUCK @54 (SO-CALLED YOUNG MAN) IN 2011.

I VOTED IN APRIL 2011, ONLY FOR HIM (THE YOUNG MAN) TO TELL ME HE DID NOT GIVE A DAMN.

I CHOSE TO BE MISLED AGAIN VOTING BUHARI. AT LEAST, I WON'T BE MISLED TWICE ON THE OTUOKE MAN.

IF YOU ARE A GROWING CHILD, PROBABLY ABOUT TO VOTE FOR THE FIRST TIME AS AN ADULT IN 2015.

I WANT TO REMIND YOU THAT OBASANJO RULED BETWEEN 1999 AND 2007.

SO FASHOLA WON'T SELL AS PRESIDENT 7 YEARS AFTER OBJ.

HE IS A POTENTIAL FUTURE PRESIDENT. BUT NOT PRESENTABLE FOR NOW.

NOT BECAUSE IT IS NOT GOOD, BUT NIGERIANS AIN'T DEVELOPED TO THAT EXTENT.

Why are you Rambling....Do you mean to tell me that APC don't have someone with better track record than GMB to project in 2015....let's be real here...Someone who we can actually account for what they've done to help our democracy and economy grow over the last 8-10 years......lemme ask you one question- in the last 8 years, what has Buhari done (in his little capacity) to help this country?.

What have u done? Geez, why all these criticism? APC shd hv brought a young man,APC should have presented fashola,APC this - APC that! Yet u guys are the same people that would aid rigging....that would defend even the most insane act of impunity by the present administration. They have picked Buhari......we are done with Gej...lets give buhari a try-if he fails we show him the door. We can't continue with a failure simply cuz we feel the only person/party strong enough to take over power from the corrupt laden individuals presently treating us with disdain is old,a muslim etc Give CHANGE a chance!!

First I'm very sure am quiet older than you are judging how you express yourself but not to drag age into our discussion.....(been eligible to vote for 3 elections now).......you haven't made any logical reason why BRF won't sell.....and ur statement still takes us back to why I complained abt youths nt getting the chance they deserve politically.

THE FIRST VOTE I AM ELIGIBLE TO CAST WAS IN 1993.

I VOTED ABIOLA/KINGIBE.

YOUR WORDS ACTUALLY SHOWED YOU ARE A YOUNG CHAP.

MENTIONING FASHOLA JUST 7 YEARS AFTER OBJ EXIT SHOWED A BIT OF TENDER MINDEDNESS.

IN NIGERIA, IT IS NOT LIKE THAT.

BUT THANKS FOR BEING SINCERE.
