McAbbey1:You sound very intellectually impotent and deficient. You are here talking about needing manifesto when in fact it came out a long time ago and if you are really not lazy, why not go to their website and read and comprehend instead of embarrassing yourself with ignorant rubbish on the internet. Saying you are a Nigeria and in a country where corruption reigns supreme you don't give a damn about politicians declaring their assets means you are part of the problem and not the solution. It's ok as a Nigerian to profess your entitled opinion, but you are not entitled to intellectual laziness and ridiculous demands because you are on the internet demanding manifesto when in fact APC's website is only 1 or 2 Google clicks away from your fingers. Saying you have a right to demand what's available to the rest of the world shows your below basic sense of reasoning and awareness. Unless you specifically want Buhari to hand deliver his manifesto to you personally because you are so special like SPEACIAL MC ABBEY the comedian. Demanding a practical and workable manifesto that you don't know anything about and haven't read sounds kind of silly.. don't you first have to look for the manifesto which you haven't done, then read and comprehend the same manifesto before getting on the internet to talk about the manifesto and if it's workable or not? With all due respect, you sound very shallow and redundant... |

Gbawe:Thank you for this post! I am one of most Nigerians, especially in the South of Nigeria (mostly Yorubas and Igbos) who voted for GEJ in the last election not because we think he is the best but we felt that the North (represented by Buhari ) has dominated power in Nigeria for too long and that the "Born to rule mentality MUST come to an end. There is also the "fear" (justified to a large extent) that a Buhari Presidency might bring about the "Sharianization" of our polity, especially with the havoc that Boko haram is wrecking on Nigerians, based on the notion that they want to ISLAMIZE the whole of Nigeria. Christians and Muslims have always lived together IN PEAACE for ages, and we can still see that in the Western/Southern part of Nigeria till today. Fashola is a Muslim in Lagos and Lagos residents and Christians don give a hoot! The focus was on his administrative qualities and PERFORMANCE This "CONCERNS & WORRIES, is what GEJ has "profitted" from, in the last election. Now, he has ruled for about six years and we can ALL AGREE that we have SEEN what stuff he is made of (You can interpret that anyway you like, ACTION speaks LOUDER than NOISE!) The only place where religion has been used as a tool for terrorism, is in the North, mainly by Northerners ....and Buhari IS a NORTHERNER. People are wondering: What would happen if and when a "Muslim Northerner" actually becomes President? To make matters even more "worrisome", Buhari has NOT openly come out to condemn these "Northern-based" terrorism, to openly assuage the "fear" of Southerners and non-Muslims and ASSURE other Nigerians that if elected, his Government will UPHOLD the SECULAR NATURE of Nigeria and will not "mix religion with politics". As much as l will admit that the above "feelings" will play a major part in the final "voting decisions" of most nigerians in the Souther part of this country (Eastern, Western and Southern Nigeria), l can also tell you that with each passing day and as the election draws closer, a lot of us are getting "Drawn closer" to voting Buhari but we cannot yet make that "leap of faith" unless and until Buhari himself comes openly on TV to address these seemingly "small" but hugely very influential concerns. Buahri needs to do only two things to win the coming election: 1.) Address the "concerns" l raised above, not in a "political party setting" but in a POLICY-FRAMEWORK SETTING, OPENLY ON TV.. 2.) Chose a "respected" Vice President like maybe someone like FASHOLA OR Donald Duke or someone who is respected by the populace from the South! He has most vote from the North...but he stll needs majority vote from the WEST and some votes from the East/South-South will be a "Bonus". As for GEJ, he does not need to say much, his performance in the last six years is his legacy and he will be judged on and by that. He can also be planning to rig the elections ...(which is where l think he is really banking on as we can already see from the voters register fiasco) but Nigerian politics is and has transformed to the point where "blatant rigging" as we have in the past might have dangerous consequence which l hope "selfishness" on his part might fail to make him realize. History will judge but Nigerians must be VIGILANT sha. Lastpage! |

Talking about "PERFORMANCE and MANIFESTOS" ...this is/was GEJ's own, back then when he was seeking election! " I do not know what all experiences from your various states are, but I will repeat here, some of the promises that I recorded that he made across Nigeria and ask you to tell us whether they have been fulfilled. • To complete the second River Niger bridge before the expiration of the tenure • To make the Minister of Works to immediately start repairs of the road leading to Murtala Mohammed International Airport • To transform all major routes in Damaturu to federal roads • To assist in resuscitating all the collapsed industries in Kano state • To set up a committee to review Federal government landed properties in Lagos, hand over those that should and retain those that should be in possession of the Federal Government. • To give Sokoto-Kotangora road unfettered attention • To deliver stable, constant supply of electricity • To ensure that Nigerians do not use generators more than two times in a week • To explore the coal deposits in Benue and Kogi states for improved power supply • To reduce the importation of generators at least 90 percent in four years. • To address the issues of unemployment through diversification of the nation’s economy to that of sustainable agricultural development across the 36 states of federation • To create 1.5 million jobs in 2 years • To transform the economy within four years • To construct 2 world scale petrochemical plants, 2 fertilizer plants and 2 fertilizer blending plants. • To establish petrochemical plant around Koko Free Trade Zone in Delta State • To make Nigeria go beyond producing and exporting crude oil to exporting refined petroleum products because Nigeria has no reason to keep importing kerosene • To make anyone caught breaching the public peace to face the full wrath of the law. • To make sure that no part of the country is allowed to be a sanctuary for criminals anymore be they armed robbers or kidnappers • To make a complete transformation of national security architecture • To ensure there is no sacred cow in the fight against corruption; all crimes will be investigated as security is key. • To strengthen EFCC and ICPC to fight crime • To embark on irrigation project to boost production; to start two projects in Kwara State • To boost farming activities by providing power and water • To re-build Ilesa water scheme • To complete Ife/Ijesa dam • To provide sufficient water to the people of Taraba; • To revamp mining activities in Jos, Plateau State • To make solid mineral key revenue source in Nigeria • To fight corruption regardless of the position of the person involved • To play politics without bitterness. • To lead by example; strengthen the anti-graft agencies, not interfere and give free hand on all matters of investigation against any government official. • To ensure that the National Boundary Development Agencies are funded to tackle the challenges that arose out of the ceding of Bakassi to Cameroun Today, we must rebuild the bridge that will bring change to Nigeria and more Nigerians closer to the promise of Nigeria. Today you will have the opportunity to change broken promises to fulfilled promises and rescue Nigeria from mismanagement and bad governance. NOW: EACH ONE OF US (irrespective of party affiliations or none) MUST X-RAY THESE PROMISES (MANIFESTO) TO DETERMINE IF THEY WERE FULFILLED OR WHAT EVEN THE PAPER THEY ARE WRITTEN ON! Lastpage!

aresa:Indeed. The intellectually-challenged yet mischievous comedian is nothing but a product of the bling culture of garish materialism ruining Nigeria. Now it is very okay for crooks connected to the government to own private jets through corruption while majority of Nigerians still live in abject poverty because their commonwealth is deliberately looted by those who worship money and material wealth above moral decency and a strong sense of doing what is right on behalf of the majority. Why will the money-hungry comedian, probably with rich crooks like Otedola and Ifeanyi Uba as his idol, not resent "poor man" Buhari for being everything Nigerians like him have been programmed to hate? When the world accuse Nigerians of being a people who worship wealth, however it is accumulated, and are detrimentally beholden to a nationally damaging "get rich quick" mentality you will see the like this Abbey clown protesting wildly as if innocent of the accusation. Yet everywhere we turn it is the "get rich quick" mentality many Nigerians now worship that means they prefer to loot opportunistically rather than serve their nation or even carry out tasks meritoriously. I find people like this Abbey so annoying. Imagine attacking a man who is about austere living, transparency and probity yet we are living in a Nigeria where the current President is the grandmaster of corruption who has made it possible for suspected fuel subsidy scammers to strut around in Court like superstars( since they all know it is a pointless charade) when we are all aware Buhari will accept nothing less than the quick trial and jailing of these crooks who nearly crippled Nigeria with the unconscionable and treasonous greed. Nigerians like this Abbey character are simply too bastardized mentally to be part of the clamour for a better nation. Fellow forumers should take a good look at what Nigeria has become under GEJ with the set of pictures below , from 2012, which show suspected fuel subsidy scammers laughing and joking while attending court secure in the knowledge that 'nothing dey shele' because they have the protection of the oga pata pata in Aso Rock (GEJ). https://www.nairaland.com/1067954/pictures-arraigned-suspects-fuel-subsidy https://saharareporters.com/sites/default/files/page_images/galleries/2012/GEORGE%20OGBONNA%20OF%20DOWNSTREAM%20ENERGY%20SOURCES%20LTD%20005.JPG?1349472899 https://saharareporters.com/sites/default/files/page_images/galleries/2012/BANKOLE%20BIODUN%C2%AD%C2%AD%C2%AD__MD%20%28ABS%29%20INVESTMENT%20LTD%20014.JPG?1349472898 https://saharareporters.com/sites/default/files/page_images/galleries/2012/NGOZI%20EKEOMA%20028_1.JPG?1349472899 https://saharareporters.com/sites/default/files/page_images/galleries/2012/HON.SAMUEL%20ARO%20BAMIDELE%20015.JPG?1349472899 |

lastpage:1. Where is the justification? If Buhari as a maximum military ruler did not islamize Nigeria, how would Buhari achieve that in a democratic setting? Would he bypass the Senate and House of Representatives and pronounce Nigeria an islamic state? Or would he send a bill seeking to make Nigeria an Islamic state to the national assembly? The so called sharianization agenda is lame and idiotic propaganda. Buhari has no business dissipating his valuable energy on what doesn't exist or not even his headache. Afterall, this was a man who made a pastor his running mate in 2011. Was he planning to make Bakare head the Sharia Shura Council? 2. In case you missed it, Buhari condemned Boko haram in strongest terms possible. Following Sunday’s massacre in eight Borno communities by the Boko Haram sect, which has so far claimed 121 lives, former Head of State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), has condemned the continued violence in Borno State. He described the ideology fueling the Boko Haram insurgence as devilish and senseless, adding that it should not be given space in any civilized society. This came as the Federal Government declared, yesterday, that the Air Force and the Army have stepped up their air and land attacks to checkmate the terrorists...............http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/02/borno-massacre-boko-haram-ideology-devilish-buhari/ http://dailypost.ng/2014/02/18/national-unrest-boko-haram-sect-devilish-ideology-buhari/ http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/buhari-this-is-dastardly/105821/ How else do you condemn something? 3.On the issue of vice presidential nominee, how can Buhari nominate a PDP member to be his running mate? When did Donald Duke join APC? Nigerians are indeed very funny. And what does he even bring to the table? name recognition without electoral value! Donald can't win Cross Rivers for APC, he can't win 10% of the votes there. Buhari needs a VP from the South but we should allow the general make his choice. If Buhari wins 55% of SW votes, he will be sworn in as president in 2015. |

Back when buhari was military president via coup plotting, the al wahabi or sharia state movement was not in vogue. howver 2 years later IBB who was Buhari chief of army staff 3rd in command dragged Nigeria into organization of Islamic countries knowing very well that Nigeria contains over 400 tribes and it is the best interest for the country to be formally a secular country. Even the constitution says this that Nigeria remains secular. Buhari was prepared to kill Shagari for power if Shagari resisted just like IBB did to vasta and orkar. I don't think he will hesistate to kill his VP if push comes to shove |

@MalcomX + profCorruption: You just picked and chose that which suits you from my post, to criticize! My post was an objective analysis of "peoples feelings" on the street level. The intent was to draw attention to such public opinion ......(however ignorant you think such opinion is, those who hold it also hold the votes required) ... and make Buhari and his handlers, PAY ATTENTION to them. And that is why l followed it up with "suggestions" on how to combat such opinion and went even further to permutate about winning percentages. As the day progresses, l have the feeling that Buhari is becoming more AND MORE ELECTABLE. What we need to be wary of and ready to COMBAT is OFFICIAL RIGGING by INEC itself, in favor of one party. Nigerians must be ready to defend their VOTE... by all means possible. Lastpage! |

McAbbey1:Here you are, some few: THIS IS HOW I, WITH YOUR HELP, WILL FIX IT: Politics and Governance On Politics and Governance: I, Muhammadu Buhari, believe that our politics is broken. Our nation urgently needs fundamental political reform and improvement in governance more transparency and accountable. Security and Conflict Resolution On National Security and Defence: I will urgently secure the territorial integrity of the nation. I will never leave the defence of the nation in the hands of Hunters, Children, and Civilian JTF through the following: Urgently address capacity building mechanisms of law enforcement agents in terms of quantity and quality as this is critical in safeguarding the sanctity of lives and property; Establish a well trained, adequately equipped and goals driven Serious Crime Squad to combat insurgencies, kidnapping, armed robbery, ethno?religious and communal clashes, nationwide; Consult and amend the Constitution to enable States and Local Governments to create city, Local government and State Policing systems, base on the resources available at each levels, to address the peculiar needs of each community. I will therefore work with the National Assembly to set and revised, when needed, boundaries of operations, for Federal, State, and Local government policing units, through new Criminal Justice legislation to replace the Criminal Code, the Penal Code and the Police Act. A Small and Medium Enterprises Development Commission will be created for this purpose. Integrate the informal economy into the mainstream and prioritize the full implementation of the National Identification Scheme to generate the relevant data; Expand domestic demand and will undertake associated public works programmes to achieve this goal; Embark on export and production diversification including investment in infrastructure; promote manufacturing, through Agro Based industries; and expand and promote sub?regional trade through ECOWAS and AU; Make Information Technology, Manufacturing, Agriculture and Entertainment key drivers of our economy, by reviewing the present reward system, which is based on certification, to that based on skills, competencies, and performances; Balance the Nigerian economy across regions by the creation of 6 Regional Economic Development Agencies (REDAs) to act as sub?regional hubs in order to promote healthy regional competitiveness; 10. Put in place a N300bn Regional Growth Fund with an average of N50bn in each geo?political region; to be managed by the REDAs, to encourage private sector enterprise and to support places currently reliant on only on the public sector, to migrate to a private sector reality; Amend the Constitution and the Land Use Act to create freehold/leasehold interests in land along with matching grants for states to create a nationwide electronic land title register on a state by state basis; Create an additional middle class of at least 4 million new home owners by 2019 by enacting a national mortgage single digit interest rates for purchase of owner occupier houses as well as review the collateral qualification to make funding for home ownership easier, with a 15 to 30 year mortgage terms.
