berem:
he's a disgrace to Igbo race because he contested in a primaries to give ndi igbo a belonging? He's a disgrace because he refused to lick Jonathan's ball just like Peter Obi and APGA is doing?
Ignis, you definitely do not know the definition of the word "DISGRACE"
Is that what you call contesting for primaries? Even himself, you and I knows there is no way he's going to win the APC presidential ticket. He was just compelled to get to the ticket so it won't be as if ndi igbo where completely neglected by the party. Don't tell me you cheaply fell for that.
Lest I forget, Rochas is not even among the option of potential vice president under the APC party.

I repeat , Rochas is a disgrace to the igbo race. He is really falling our hands.

guy rochas should be careful otherwise he would have problems with igbos in apc like osita okechukwu seems to be saying...this is beyod orji and obi
Problem with Jonathanian fools for losing primaries. Please let him continue with his wonderful performance in Imo State. I thank God for the man Okorocha.

are osita okechukwu and ogbonaya onu jonathanians?this is beyond jonathanians as far as those guys are concerned.
Re: Rochas Okorocha Asked To Apologize To The Igbos For Losing APC Primaries by darediamond(m):
This is how exactly it should bé. But the way some Igbos reason is surprisingly woefull and painfull too. Do you think "Born To Rule" people give a dam about we Southerners?
You guys have forgotten that it was under this democratic Rule ushered in by a southener that things start to gradually get better for us collectively.
Yoruba in the SW supported my dear IJAWs in the SS and is it not the rigthfull thing for you Igbos to support SS now so that it will bé easier for you to attain to Power by 2019?
Obasanjo have weakened the north by detaching the region(middle belt states) they do use to 419 us in the South. Should we not organize ourselves collectively in Unity and keep using that to our advantage over those pokos up there who do not want to bend to anybody but instead want everybody to forever bend to them?
You are saying Jonathan is a looter. Now tell me, if those parasites should grab power again, will they not alltogether again start looting senseslessy again from the oil revenue in the south south and south east again like they like to do and even call you and yes we south westerners abusively derogatory names??
Even now that they are not directly in power, who are those that own 90% of the Oil blocks?
Is it the igbos, yorubas, ijawa, itsekiria, ibioboa, etc. In the South?? Answer me my fellow Southerners??
What is this disunity for??
Is this the time for kicking against GEJ from any Southerner?
Forget about "1 Nigeria" scam!! If they truly love other Nigerians would they bé maltreating other fellow Nigerians rigth from Tafawa Balewa's time? Would they the Caliphate bé still killing other tribes expecially from the South in there land?? Would still bé nurturing the notion of "Islamizing" other fellow Nigerians?

GEJ till Nigeria is no more!!!
You hate that? "Go and die"

mazzi:
nwanne i like the way u see tinz.rochas goofed big time.why not remain in apga or join pdp and help Gej win 2015,then show up in 2019

that means you did not even read the article and you jumped into conclusion..read the article..moreover osita was a cpc member from Enugu state before cpc was merged with acn to form apc...he is still a member of apc...this is a party issue and has nothing to do with those that support Jonathan.

You are an excellent Analytical Critic for stating this: " The way things are now in Nigeria,an Igbo man should not be fighting his next door neigbour,a south-South man for the office of the president. It is not in our best interest to do this because the truth is that the south-South are closest political allies we have in Nigeria. Okorocha should have known this before going on his APC wild-goose chase. Now Okorocha has put himself in a position where he will work to make a northerner like Buhari the president over his Ijaw neigbour. Is that not political stupiidity? Most Igbo politicians declined to run against GEJ but it's only Okorocha that wants to show he has more sense than anyone else. Look at how Rochas bastardised democracy by handing over Imo state APC Governorship position to his son in-law "to hold for him" while he goes to make a foool of himself at the APC presidential primaries, thereby showing everyone that APC in Imo state is about him alone. I really hope that Imo state people take back the mandate they gave Okorocha and hand it back to APGA or someone who truly deserves it." !!!
zendy:
Don't make me laugh. Outside Imo state,Okorocha commands little or no patronage in Igbo land. Buhari has a large following in the north,GEJ has a large following in the South-South. Okorocha has nothing. The problem with Rochas is that he is a "one man show". He thinks he can advance politically just by his Charisma and personality alone. That's not how it works because politics is a game of numbers. Okorocha is the only politician in Nigeria who wants be president with no support base. Is it his Orlu zone that will make him president? The man has painted him self a picture of an arrogant knuckle head who only listens to his thinking. The way things are now in Nigeria,an Igbo man should not be fighting his next door neigbour,a south-South man for the office of the president. It is not in our best interest to do this because the truth is that the south-South are closest political allies we have in Nigeria. Thanks to a truth-seeking nairalander:

Irrespective who's ever merger as Gen. Buhari's running mate, Nigerians may forgive but never forget. May you know just few reasons why religious bigot and tribal chauvinist; As Gen. Muhammadu Buhari must never rule Nigeria again. He is an oligarch who does not believe in equality before the law. The way he jailed Lateef Jakande, Jim Nwobodo, Ambrose Ali, Pa Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Ayo Ojewumi on cases that had no foundation and allowed Awwal Ibrahim, the then Niger State governor, who was arrested in Heathrow Airport in London with 14 million pounds sterling and several millions of naira and dollars to be under house arrest is one of such reasons. He also allowed Shehu Kangiwa, Sokoto State Governor who conducted and supervised the famous Bakolori Massacre of poor peasant farmers whose land were appropriated without compensation to remain under house arrest.
(2)Ayo Ojewumi became blind as a result of his imprisonment over false charges and died shortly after.
(3)Prof. Ambrose Alli also became blind as a result of this false imprisonment. When he died, he had only one undeveloped plot of land to his name.
(4)Pa Adekunle Ajasin was never the same after his eventual release and remained sickly for the rest of his life. When he died, he never had any property anywhere in the world except the one he had built from his sweat as long term teacher and school principal in Owo township.
(5)He jailed Ndukar Irabor and Tunde Thompson of the Guardian on stories that were factually true under Decree
(6)He had told the Nigerian journalists then that it did not matter whether the story reported was true or not, if his regime did not like it, the writer would go to jail.
(7)He supervised the smuggling of 53 suitcases filled with cash through the Murtala Muhammed Airport against the protests of General Tunde Idiagbon and ironically, Abubakar Atiku, the then Director General of the Customs who later became Vice President of Nigeria and a compromised politician himself. This smuggling of the suitcases were supervised by his ADC, Col. Mustapha Jokolo.
(coolHe jailed Fela Anikulapo-Kuti on trumped up charges under emergency law which prompted the sentencing judge to confess that he was ordered to do so and apologised to the late musician. It was Buhari’s administration that said it has “decided to deal with this Fela problem once and for all.
(9)He has never been able to account to Nigerians what he did with the 20 billion naira of the Petroleum Trust Fund of which he was the chairman under Sani Abacha.
(10)He has not been able to point to any project that he prosecuted outside Northern Nigeria with the so-called trust fund.
(11)He was in full support of all the atrocities of Sani Abacha against the Nigerian people. There is no single record of his criticism of Sani Abacha during those dark days when Nigeria was on the precipice. It shows that he is a patriot of convenience and as such unfit to lead the country.
(12)Buhari, as part of his tribalistic practices, placed President Shagari under house arrest inside a palatia mansion in Ikoyi while he locked up Shagari’s Vice, Alex Ekwueme in Kirikiri Prison. Shagari is Hausa/Fulani like him while Alex Ekwueme is an Igbo man.
(13)Dim (Ikemba) Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, another Igboman who returned from 13 years exile just a little over a year then was as well locked up in Kirikiri Prison by mean-hearted Buhari.Up till his death we are not told what was (Ikemba) offence.
(14)Busari Adelakun died of ulcer because Buhari refused him to be taken out of prison for immediate medical attention. The then Governor of Ogun State,Bisi Onabanjo suffered similar fate which we were told led to his untimely death.
(15)Buhari ransacked the house of our late sage, Obafemi Awolowo and confiscated his international passport. Which civilized democratic society would elect the likes of Buhari as President, the same individual who overthrew an elected President? Never.
(16)Buhari discriminated against persons from other ethnic groups/faiths ; and that as PTF Chairman, he employed an overwhelming number of Fulani/Hausa/Moslem people at the detriment of other groups and concentrated PTF projects in the North. If in doubt read El Rufai’s testimony where he wrote about Katsina boys who used the money they made at PTF to bankroll Yar’Adua’s election in 1999.
(17)Buhari snubbed the same Nigerians he now wants their votes by refusing to appear before Justice Oputa Truth and Reconciliation Panel. Despite the fact that Buhari knew how inportant reconciliation is to the stability of democracy. Buhari has never apologised at anytime.(18)Buhari executed Lawal Ojuolape (30), Bernard Ogedengbe (29) and Bartholomew Owoh (26).
At 72 Gen. Buhari still wants to rule Nigeria again. I don't think he has anything to offer now.

Abagworo:
Those Igbo politicians are stupid. Is Jonathan an Igbo or has he done anything spectacular to attract our sympathy? jonathan is surely vacating the seat soon and Nigeria is moving foward for good. Amaechi and Okorocha are the wisest and best Governors East of the Niger from every point of assessement. Why are they against Jonathan. The worst set like Akpabio, T Orji and Peter Obi are the ones supporting the worst leader in the world. Where is Chime now? Is he still in Jonathans camp?
Learn from history. Ethnicity plays a huge part in how people vote in Nigeria. In 2003 when OBJ was running for president, despite the fact that his first term was a monumental disaster, his people rallied around him to get him re-elected. The Yorubas who are screaming 'change' in APC now forgot all about that and towed the ethnic line to get OBJ re-elected even though they knew he was a bad leader. Their party AD didn't even field a presidential candidate. But now that it's a south-South man who is in there, they are suddenly comfortable with regime change. The truth is that GEJ and Buhari are just as bad as each other. Both men have had the opportunity to lead Nigeria and both did badly. So I as an Igbo must choose from both bad leaders who best represents my interests and it is GEJ. You can never convince an Hausa man to choose GEJ over Buhari same way you couldn't convince the Yorubas to dump OBJ for Buhari in 2003. This is the same way you cannot convince an Igbo man to dump GEJ for Buhari. OBJ,GEJ and Buhari are as bad as the come. We are not talking about men with incredible track records who are presenting themselves for office,we are talking about men who have at one time or the other had the opportunity to right the wrongs of Nigeria and all 3 failed spectacularly. Since we saddled with this sort of leadership,GEJ is only alternative for the Igbos. Okorocha and Amaechi are just 2 Igbo men who have let their "ambition for higher office" take their common sense away. One wants to be president while the other is scheming for vice. That's the only reason they joined APC and they intend to make GEJ their scape-Goat. Both men will pay the price in 2015. Igbos won't be fooled by you APC converts and your message of change. Change of what? One bad leader to another? GEJ till 2019!!!

APC is an Arewa-Oduah gang up 2.0. All Igbo men with them are only there for their selfish interests. This is the the truth.

A vote for APC is a vote for the restoration of the post 1970 order.

Mallam Rochas Okorocha is a runaway freight train that is bereaved of human intellect. It is not a surprise to find Imo State in absolute ruin. The dumbass junk does not owe apology to anybody however Ndigbo in general and Imo State in particular must make sure the Mallam is punished for his political blunders.

I dont know wat Rochas has done so far apart from build better school that offer free education to university. HE is building roads and promise much more and i want to see the change by 2019 , if he is going to contest Presidency again. 4 more years is not much.

Chukwuemeka Ihedioha should stay put and contest for speaker. He mustn't make it easy for GEJ. Ndiigbo have not had either the Speaker or Senate President. We put in the vote and should get something substantial out.

Wat do u think?
Hope you are aware that David Mark is recontesting...
