install the super user and any other root app u might have installed then flash SU zip tru cwm again.

Hey I need help brother. I have rooted my gionee e3 before. When I updated to the recent kitkat it will not let me root it anymore. It said the same thing as what iamdutch experienced. Now, I followed what you told iamdutch to do. After I flashed the supersu zip again (which I got from project naira, I got the same issue.

Please help. I would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

Plz guys I just received ge3 as a gift... D touch was changed recently nd d proximity sensor nd auto rotation dnt work well... Proximity sensor no d work at all. Rotation na wahala to return to portrait mode... Any solution? Can it b fixed by flashing?

Hello House, my gionee E3 phone's usb port has stopped working. A visit to callus miller here in phc revealed that the port is disconnected from the board. The repairer suggested getting a new board. Can anyone help with info as to getting a new board in port Harcourt?

tweaking time!!!!

I know say this one na small tweaking process but at least make I share am!

First you must be rooted

Second you must have any root explorer like es file explorer, root explorer etc

Then download this file

https://www.dropbox.com/s/5lqse58ujvzsy65/lock%20sounds.zip?dl=0

it's a zip file
After download unzip it

then you will see two files in .ogg format

copy them to
System/media/audio/ui

your file explorer will prompt overwrite/replace choose yes

then go to your settings and put on your screen lock sounds (by ticking it under profiles/general)

then reboot and unlock your phone to see the magic!!!!

Upgrade to Kitkat if problem continues return to the engineer

I took it back to gionee service centre at computer village were the screen was fixed and the guys there have fixed it. But my fone was formatted without my consent, don't even know if my fone is still rooted now. Will check when I get home. So how do i upgrade to kitkat bro, pls point me in the right direction biko.
