It is still a sacred river, where spiritual baths are taking(regardless of content or conditions).
Not that I Would take a bath in it(my village has a flowing stream) !!!!

I guess the corpse were victims of rituals,they. Probably used them for sacrifice,the river is a sacred river and as we all know that Indians are mostly pagans

They were probably used for sacrifice,what do you expect? Indians are pagans,and the river is very sacred to them

People keep travelling down there for medical and IT stuff...hmmmm

The hindus believe any corpse deposited in the ganges river frees the dead from the circle of life and death hence the desire to deposit them inside the river.

They do not kill them for rituals..just that it constitute an eyesore.
