A/c Issues Of Mercedes Benz C240 by headTO: 10:55am On Dec 22, 2014
Please gurus in the house, my car A/C is having serious issues. When the follow-come compressor went bad, I changed it with brand new one I bought from Zuba market. It lasted only one month and pack up. Again I was advised to go for a tokunbo which I did and that only worked for one day. Now pple are suggesting I go for the manual compressor which to them is stronger and easy to maintain. Now my question is

Should I go for the manual conversion?

Are there side effects?

If yes then how can I make my A/C running like every other good A/C

please I URGENTLY need ur response

lol, oyinbo wey make motor put compressor didnt do that conversion, and yet you are considering that...

where is the compressor that came with that car? what was the problem? leakage or what ?

the compressor that came with that ride cannot cope with excessive refrigerant, many technicians fail to note these... the max capacity for that compressor should not exceed 800g. ................................. how many of them have guages and can read them accordingly?

when you over-fill, even if its a new compressor, it would pack up.

if u are lucky enough to get a Toks, replace the drier , and maybe luckier to get a vacuum to take all air and moisture off the passage, and make sure there is not leak... fill refrigerant with approx 750g or 800g .......no more, no less..... it should work and last!

goodluck to you

i feel your pain brother. too many scammers dey outside there talking all kinds of rubbish to make themselves feel competent. its a research thing. go back to the same zuba market, ask around for the the best ac guy in the market. when you find one, tell him that you are a military guy that you require warranty on his job. if hes competent he will give you warranty if he isnt he will runaway. this best guys in the market know exactly how to do your job.
DO NOT CHANGE TO A MANUAL. ITS ANOTHER SCAM!

how did ur original compressor go bad?..............did it explode/blow?
if yes them am sorry.any compressor u install in that car will always fail...cos you have metal particles in ur system...condenser/evaporator etc, the normal procedure is to change out all those after a catatrosphic compressor failure so as to rid the system of those particles, or you could flush and hold a vacuum on the system before running any new compressor
