hayoakins: What an insult! Comparing the intellect and oratory prowess of GEJ with Buhari is like comparing death with ordinary sleep. Benin Republic will become the world superpower in 2015 if GMB floors GEJ in any debate. |

He should have allow corruption to continue, what are you talking about, exactly what he talked about in his speech is same thing happening right now, in your own opinion have we learnt any thing, 16yrs after inception of democracy we are in darkness, broke, corruption everywhere, if IBB has allowed Buhari continue this country would have been great by now. God always brings Buhari in a time like this. You want Jonathan to continue with his corruption infested Government. #SMH Billyonaire: |

I was a university student when Buhari took over. It was a nightmare. Meal subsidy for we students was stopped immediately. Bursary awards given to students by state governments stopped immediately. In the name of changing the colour of some naira notes, the nation went through some weeks of hell fire. From Buhari the nation transitioned to Babangida, who sent all the European lecturers (that made Nigerian universities great) home. From Babangida we transitioned to Abacha, and the nation's educational system continued to be battered. Buhari started the chain of military rulers that destroyed this country. Whatever problem you see in Nigeria today has its root in Buhari's coup. Never mind people who see to have forgotten so quickly. All they tell you is that Buhari worked to instill discipline, just like ISIS doe in areas where they control. What about economic, educational and infrastructural development? Or is it discipline that will solve Nigeria's problems? |

wisdom77:Allow Democratic experience to take root. Do not abort Democracy on account of perceived corruption. Strengthening the judiciary is the solution, not coup detat. I am not sure most of you proponents of Buhari have had adequate education capable of galvanizing healthy thoughts. Every coup plotter in the world always find a very good reason for fighting evil with evil. If you give Boko Haram a chance, they can prove that killing is justified. Buhari murdered MKO indirectly, when he plunged Nigeria into serial military juntas that lasted over 20yrs. Buhari will NEVER be President of Nigeria, its as simple as that. |

Unibenstudent: Oh I see! Your own type of ideal leader is the one that suspended your country's constitution just because he wanted to "fight corruption". Your civic leader is the one that placed his kinsmen under comfortable house arrest but chose to confine other accused politicians from the south to Kirikiri and other maximum prisons. That your leader is the one who accused the Fed Govt of "killing the north" in the fight against terrorism only to turn around to accuse the same govt of inability to tackle insurgency? That your leader is the one that suggested granting Boko Haram amnesty and treating terrorists like Niger Delta militants. The one that said Muslims should only vote for those who will protect the interest of Muslims. Someone who could only accumulate N1million in his account in 29 years despite a "flourishing cattle rearing" business and you expect him to bring such "business acumen" to bear in presiding over the most populous black nation on earth? Behold your ideal leader. I think you need personal reexamination. |

Billyonaire:Buhari is a Boko Haram patron/collabo and all sane Nigerians know it. If Nigerians truly want positive change, they should vote in late MKO Abiola's wife in her not-so-popular party. Buhari and APC are jihadists with devilish mission to take Nigeria back. |

Billyonaire:FIRST POINT OF CORRECTION EVEN THOUGH I HAVE STOPPED RESPONDING TO THE MANY TEENAGERS ON NAIRALAND BORN IN THE '90S AND 2000S. BUHARI NEVER - I SAID NEVER PARTICIPATED IN A COUP. GO BACK TO HISTORY SCHOOL AND COME BACK AFTER 20 YEARS TO ANSWER ME. IBB (AS USUAL) WITH HIS COLLEAGUES DID THE COUP, THEN BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO SHOW THE WORLD THEY WERE CREDIBLE, THEY NOW BEGGED BUHARI TO LEAD THEM. BUHARI DID NOT LEAD A SINGLE TROOP, I REPEAT A SINGLE TROOP! AND LASTLY FOR YOU TO SAY THAT SHAGARI SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO KEEP EXPERIMENTING WITH CORRUPTION IS THE SINGLE REASON YOU ARE TYPING ON NAIRALAND RIGHT NOW INSTEAD OF BEEN GAINFULLY EMPLOYED SOMEWHERE |

Though I'm apolitical. With all these good intentions why was he overthrown? And, why does wants power back? Besides,There's a very big difference being a military ruler and being civilian president. |

LastProphet:What makes you think you are (1) Older than me (2) Privy to the information on that coup than I am. I will ignore your other vituperation and careless diatribes which amplifies your non-cerebral disposition. You said Buhari was begged by IBB to become Head of State, right ? That's absolute rubbish, because IBB was power drunk and would not have given such opportunity to anyone after a successful coup. Truth remains that Buhari orchestrated that coup in proxy, and truncated a democracy, destroyed the institutions of democracy. Disbanded the National Assembly, and unleashed terror on the Press and the critics of his administration. Do you still remember how Buhari hunted down Umari Dikko and attempted his kidnap ? That was an era of black out of press freedom. Is that a responsible and tolerant democrat ? No, he is nothing but an Abacha incarnate. |

Unibenstudent: If you understand the workings of domestic and international economies, you wouldn't blame GEJ for the deep in our currency, which is partly a derivate of import and export contraptions as further complicated by global fall in oil prices. It could have been worse if not for the intensified agro and agro allied business diversifications been embarked upon by this administration. More so, currency devaluation is not restricted to our shores, other countries the world over, devalue their currencies if need be. With regards to the N21billion PDP donations, won't you rather commend our president for choosing to thread that path instead of dipping his hands into the national treasury to fund his party's campaigns? Friend, GEJ is the man. |

Tunisia just elected a man of 88years as their new president, age is nothing but number provided the person can deliver. As for me and my family we will vote for that CHANGE. God bless Nigeria.
