not sure about owerrri looking like Switzerland..entered owerri yesterday and it looks nothing like that..as for okoroccha he has vvision but his execusion precision and efficiency is 50%.
You should differentiate figures of speech from direct insinuations. I believe you understood what I wrote. Owerri is not like a typical Igbo city.

As for your score of 50% execution, I fault it as low with regards to my own assessement. The only fault I find in Okorocha is that some of the roads lack precinct finishing. Example some of the curves on the roads or drainages look rickety in finishing.

look at what he has turned our state into. the state coffers is dry. our state is in trouble, all the sectors of the state has decayed. the highlighted is the case where civil service is the only employment of labour.

vote ihedioha for 2015.

Bleak Xmas For Imo Civil Servants
By Stanley Uzoaru
— Dec 23, 2014 | 11 Comments
Civil servants in Imo State may be going on long holidays courtesy of a two-week holiday granted them by the state government for the Christmas and New Year celebrations even as their salaries are yet to be paid.

Going by the state-wide broadcast by Governor Rochas Okorocha at the weekend, the hope of the civil servants celebrating the festivals with their salaries appears bleak as the governor expressed uncertainty over the possibility of the payment before the year ends.

“The workers would be proceeding on two weeks holiday; their salaries would not be paid immediately but it would be paid soon,” Okorocha stated.

Meanwhile, workers in the state are complaining of financial hardship as most of them settled for meat from local vendors and purchase of their children’s clothings from the popular “Okrika” sellers.

A civil servant who spoke to LEADERSHIP on condition of anonymity said, “I can’t afford a bag of rice; if I can manage to buy some cups of rice and some meat, I will thank God; my children’s wears have been bought already at school road where cheap second-hand clothes are sold.”

Traders of the seasonal items are not left out in the complaint as they lamented low patronage by their customers.

The contest is between Okorocha and Ihenacho. Okorocha is winning any way as APGA is disorganized just like PDP. Everybody wants to be Governor at the same time or I work against you.

those faulty curves on the rroads and rickety finishing on drainages are the exact places potholes start on roads and later destroy the roads eventually...the imsg should be up and doing in monitoring projects it has giving out as contracts.

if you notice I am not giving any pdp candidate a chance...i simply wanted to correct an impression on that guy I quoted...you are actually wrong when you say rochas is gonna win it as if it is a done deal because of what ezeah is doing why?because iheanachos name has already being submitted and quite a number of people I have talked with know him as apga candidate and it seems he is quite popular for whatever reason..ezeah is just trying to make noise for whatever reason..rochas is popular but not a done deal as you are insinuating..also a lot of other factors would also come into play that may swing votes.

Ifeanyi Ararume win Imo election? Are you kidding me? Ifeanyi Ararume is not known in Orlu Zone.
Besides, there's a rumour he his mother is from a royal family in Benin and he's an occult. huh
If nepotism must rule Imo state governors, Ifeanyi Ararume's wife is from Orlu LGA - to be verified.

But Imo governors must henceforth decentralize development infrastructures to all areas of Imo state - not like Gov. Okorocha who believes that more than 95% of Imo state's capital development fund must be spent on the state capital.

http://leadership.ng/news/397513/security-imo-govt-launches-pilots-security-data-capturing

The Imo Governor, Mr Rochas Okorocha,
said that state had inaugurated a Pilot
Security Data Capturing to assist law
enforcement agents to detect criminals
who disguised as Keke (tricycle) operators
in the state.
Okorocha disclosed this in Owerri on
Wednesday while addressing commercial
tricycle operators.
He said that the move was to further beef-
up security and improve the well being of
Imo citizens, especially during the
Christmas season.
He said that the issue of insecurity to lives
and properties was at the front burner of
government to ensure meaningful
development.
The governor commended the group for
the maximum cooperation he enjoyed from
them since the inception of his
administration.
He said that his administration had
justified their mandate through numerous
transformation projects in the state in
three and half years.
Okorocha said that the commercial
tricycles would be replaced with taxis in
the state capital before they would
finally be phased out.

Earlier, the President, Imo Pilots Transport
Multipurpose Cooperative Society,
Comrade Austine Ojukwu, said the security
data capturing would provide information
on every tricycle.
He pledged, on behalf of his group, to
continue to support the governor’s
administration.(NAN)

There's a mistake they keep making about roads in owerri. Owerri has a very different soil from other places in Nigeria but they keep using same method other states use to make road. Owerri soil is too prone to erosion, imo state government need to understand that it will cost them more to make strong road. I saw new roads made my Rochas Administration, they give way damn too fast! Even the thickness of the asphalt is too small.

Those hospitals he's erecting in every LG give me joy, I see steady progress each time I pass imo state. They are massive,i must confess, I fear for ability to maintain them later on. That's usually the issue. I hope maintenance system is part of their plan...

Beautiful pictures of Owerri! Yes, road markings will complete the magic!

Is this the Wetheral by-pass that was newly completed?
What is that massive monument being built along wetheral by pass for?

I hope Rochas will give Imo an ultra modern stadium sited around Naze or owerri outskirts. Imo used to be a powerhouse in Nigeria's sports. Partly not having a truly modern sports complex is responsible for the decline of interest and sports enthusiasts.
