As we have witnessed in Nigeria in the past few years, bombs and bullets do not differentiate between Christians and Muslims. There are no Muslim bombs or bullets. You stand in their way, you are dead irrespective of whether you are the Sultan of Sokoto or Pope John Paul.

Simply insulting the religion and getting satisfaction out of that is hollow and also gets in the way of debating the issues which in this instance is about the dangers of Isis recruiting in Nigeria. Number 1, ISIS recruiting in Nigeria finally confirms that Isis has interest in the country and confirms what we already suspect,which is that they probably already provide some support for Bokoharam. Number 2, how do we prevent young Nigerians going to fight in Syria and Iraq. For while some people may take the simple stance that these Nigerians being recruited to go fight abroad will deprive Bokoharam of a source of manpower. However this is shortsighted for the problem is not the young people going, it is what happens when they return having been dehumanized further by the atrocities they will commit and the added indoctrination received.
