interesting topic. as a lawyer we come across such complains all the time. its totally wrong and using the right channel if such ever happens to you, you can get good compensation either by the person begging you not to go to court or by a court after a case has been heard.

Did a case for a lady who got slapped by a police man who was drunk. he was detained for two days, he almost lost his job but begged and begged. finally paid my client 60.

I was at the police station the other day for a client and i crossed my leg. the ipo who did not know i was a lawyer came and shouted at my to uncross my leg. "common will you uncross your leg, dont you know you are in the police station? I gave shouted back at her all of them were like . i ended my conversation with as a lawyer you cant intimidate me as i know my right. them no talk again. lol.

presently doing a case for a family where who police invaded them, tear gassed all of them including a 6 year old. all because the police claim their son harassed them.

we claiming several millions. the begging has started now.

in summary its totally wrong, they know it but alot of Nigerians dont know their rights that is why they keep doing it.
