Nigerians we are supposed to be smarter than that(Especially Igbos), when it comes to money we are usually very careful, anyways lesson for the wise, $8000 ain't no joke, I'd rather use Western union and pay the fees than to carry such a huge amount in my luggage. 1 Like |

What if the load carrier was caught and possibly lynched to death, people will be crying why jungle justice. An innocent woman who thought of coming home is now regretting her action. So Pathetic to read that incident, but she should have put eyes on the load carrier knowing fully well vital documents are in them. How does she raise money for air ticket, New Passport? I hope family raise the needed amount for her and measures put in place to avert this menace again. If it was to be a White Man, I just imagined how scandalous it would become. Don't know if to blame you or the load carrier? i think i will blame you madam Nkechinyere. Before coming to Nigeria, why didn't you call a relative of yours to know the precautionary steps to take or to even come and assist you? I know you may have wanted to see the country sides, the roads, and the level of development but why didn't you just take a flight to owerri or Enugu or asaba since you have such money and those sensitive documents with you. Well if you are a citizen of the state or permanent resident, I think you can still approach the embassy to inform them I am sure they would do something for you but for the money and other items. its gone forever.
