The Borno state government has revealed that terrorist group, Boko Haram controls 20 out of the 27 local government area in Borno state over the last five years.

According to The Nation, Only Maiduguri Metropolitan, Jere, Konduga, Kaga, Bayo, Kwayakusar and Biu local government areas remain in government hands

The government also said it has 2million Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to provide for and that it recently moved 45, 000 of such displaced persons from neighbouring Adamawa State. These facts were made available by the state Deputy Governor, Zanna Umar Mustapha.

Speaking at the one of the IDPs camps, the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Zanna Umar Mustapha who was on a sympathy visit to the camp said taking care of the people is setting back the state financially to the tune of N600m per month.

He commended the military and other security agencies in Adamawa and Borno states for their battle against insurgency in the North-East but appealed to them to intensify their efforts.


He assured the IDPs of government’s resolve to bring the situation under control.

Countries with "better leader" and international support have been fighting terrorism for decades without success. What makes u think its all dependent on the tribe of Origin?

its better you join north in a new country where you will live in peace with your northern countrymen and rule each other there.

GEJ should declear full state of EMERGENCY in the state. Army should take over that state.
