I just got a new white chuwawa dog this is my first dog how do I take care of her Please any advice on food.shelter , and vaccine will be fine Thanks |

Congrats. Pls post pictures! The previous owner should have given you lots of instructions. Get her registered with a vet. The vet will handle all vaccinations that may be needed. Buy several tins of a quality dog food, measure her weight, and feed her the amount recommended on the pack. Buy a quality flea/tick spray. The cheap ones may not work. Buy a crate so you can train her not to poo in your house. 4 Likes 3 Shares |

sexybash:Do you mean a chihuahua? That's a not so common breed in this parts. Please read all you can about the breed online. You can do the basics first though i.e registering with a vet and all Seun stated above. |

I went to the vet shop yesterday I got milk, cod liver oil,can food, dry food ,dog collar and dog toy lol |

Please this is not a chihuahua. Lhasa/samoyed/yorkie or something of the sort. Didn't the vet tell you what breed it is? 4 Likes |

sexybash:OK, please let him/her do so on your next visit. Very cute pup though. Please be very thorough with his grooming. You may also want to watch out for ticks and mites. I own a lhasa. |

That's a cute pup you have there? Is that leash I see on her? Please I don't think she needs to be on leash at this age especially with a kid around her, you wouldn't want to risk strangulation on the pup's part. Also, that's not a Chihuahua, its either a Lhasa apso or a Samoyed. Not that both breeds ain't good, but truth be told. As a matter of fact, I would choose a Lhasa over Chihuahua anyday anytime, Chihuahuas ain't so common over here in Nigeria and as a starter, i'll advice you start with a common breed cos stocks like the Chihuahuas need experience hands. I own a Lhasa too, she's the only pet I've ever owned that can stand on her hind legs for more than 30 secs on the go. |
