What Is The Way Forward For Barcelona? by ClintonNzedimma(m): 7:38pm On Dec 30, 2014
Hello.
What is wrong at Barcelona?
We were once the greatest team the world have ever seen but most of all, we were more than a club.
The year 2014 has been a year of unfortunate events for us the peole of Catalonia.
Look at our year in review:
-Sandro Rosell (former barca president) resigned over the controversial Neymar signing.

-We were knocked out of 2 title race in just a week in the Mid year by Atletico Madrid (UCL), Real Madrid (Copa Del Rey)

-Messi had serious tax problems with the Spanish government.

-A serious injury struck Victor Valdez which made him leave the Club

-Iniesta's wife had a miscarriage.

-Our former coach Tito Villanova died of Throat Cancer .I still believe he is the best coach we had since Pep Guardiola.

-The most demoralising is the current Transfer Ban which will forbid us from signing any player till January 2016.
Most football Analysts are saying we should forget Champions League and La Liga and there has been serious speculation that we may go trophyless for 2 years.
CAN WE CONTINUE LIKE THIS?

I don't have much to say rather than " some times things gets worst before they gets better". Barca is a great club even if they go trophyless for years, it won't make them less great. Sure the transfer ban will have effects on the club but U and I know that Barca has one of the best football academy in the world, all I think they'll need to do is to use the available players both from the academy and the senior players and ensure they're consistent.

They might not win any trophies for few years but they need to remain relevant, be the fearful Barca, hold on to top spots and ensure continuity in the team. Am sure before 2016, the coaching crew would've accessed the whole team and make proper additions once the ban is over.

This is neither the end of Barca nor will it spell doom for them, it might just be all what they need to rule the world of football again. Sometimes U need to trace ur footsteps backward to get the directions before moving forward.

yes we already have good youth team players like Munir, Sergi Samper, Sandro Romirez, Allen Halilovic, Adama Traore.
That wont be enough to stop Madrid and Bayern.
But part of what you said was right, we could once again build a great side because of the sudden quick integration of our La Masia graduates.

Barca has always been a great team. This is just a period for them to look inwards and address all the porus areas and strengthen them. From the administration to the players.

(On the pitch)
When FC Barcelona gets desperate and sign players, they pay exorbitant fees for average players who wouldn't even make the first team. Last transfer window, millions of pounds was spent on Vermalaen, Mathieu, and Douglas. These three aren't even of Barca's standard. We made the same mistake we make every season wen we go through a difficult season.

(Off the pitch)
The administrators are also messing with the club a whole lot. The elections is around the corner and all the issues cropping up now is the work of these politicians. They should let the board work and we'll see the best of FC Barcelona again.

This transfer ban is probably for the greater good. Let the club make use of the La Masia. That is why it is the best in the world. And you guys would not believe that we have great defenders too. These players already know the philosophy of the club and would fit in into the first team in no time. I rest my case.

I think Androni Zubiarreta should be blamed for the uneccessary signings

In my opionion Mathieu is a good center back but i dont know why Luis Enrique keep playing him as a Leftback when we have Jordi Alba, Yes i know we beat PSG with that pattern but what of Madrid and Bayern, how is it gonna be?
Douglas has not been really tested, you know he is from the brazillian league but i think we better find a way to keep Daniel Alves.
Vermalaen is just a burden to us, well i wanna see his debut.
We should have loaned out Fabregas not sell him.
Thank God for La Masia but we need defenders like Puyol from that Academy

(off pitch)
Well as for that election Laporta should win it and sort out the club or its gonna be another year of Misery.
I even heard Sandro Rosell was receiving threats to his family thats why he resigned due to Neymar signing controversy.

By now,I think it is pretty obvious Barcelona is a whole lot different from from Real Madrid. We don't just buy players for the sake of buying. This last transfer window, the club (not just Andonni) panicked. They bought liabilities. I can bet that there are players in the B team that would comfortably replace the players bought. The club knows this.
They panicked and got players they do not need. Except for Suarez, Bravo and Rakitic, the rest aren't of Barcelona's standard.

Lets just be patient.
Pique wasnt good when we bought him from Man Utd but we built him.
I agree we are bad at buying players because we are too insular in nature.
Re: What Is The Way Forward For Barcelona? by doublezero7(m): 11:03am On Dec 31, 2014
I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with your opinion about Pique being a bad player when he arrived from Manchester United. He was a good player when he was re-signed. No wonder Guardiola paired him up with Puyol straight up. Even though we had players with lots of experience on the bench.

Neymar or his transfer isn't Barca's problem. It is like saying Messi's tax issues is Barca's problem. Barca's problem is much more than all this.

Y'all should quit hating. That's the only solution to all the problems y'all are facing and will still face.

Barcelona ain't seen nada yet. More misery awaits the club and her fans.

Y'all have soiled ya hands with evil. Fraudsters are amongst you. Barcelona has dragged the name of the good game in the mud. Shame on y'all.

How are the mighty fallen and the weapons of war perished.

Woe unto y'all!

Barca is a great club. This ban will only hurt us for a while.... I expect barca to still be competitive. With Munir, Deulefeu, Dennis Suarez, Sergio Samper, Ie, Sandro etc. I expect to see Montoya stay on and fight for a shirt. Before d end of d ban, I see barca winning d UCL, Liga and Copa @ least once each. We are d best and will remain so.

Long Live Barcelona
Re: What Is The Way Forward For Barcelona? by thegoodjoehunt3(m): 9:35pm On Jan 02, 2015
First of all, Barca should embrace the fact that success in clubs is not permanent. We saw Real Madrid go down for a long time.
Barca needs to look at Real Madrid and ask a question.
What did they do right?
Simple. They changed the head. Florentino Perez loves Real Madrid and has his vision for the club. Since Perez left Real, they struggled. His return has seen Real back as the best team in the World.
Since the departure of Laporta, Wrong decisions trailed Barca. Which is critical to success.
Xavi has been the pillar of Barca and Spain. Since '99 in Nigeria where Spain won their first international trophy. Barca had the perfect replacement in Thiago Alcantara. They let him go instead of replacing Xavi.
Txiki Bergiristian. He is now the technical director of Man City. Laporta said making Txiki the technical director of Barca was the smartest decision he made. You can see the impact of Txiki at Man City, including the development of Man City Academy.
The faith in the La Masia academy needs to be restored.
So bringing Laporta back is the critical action that needs to be taken at Barcelona FC. With that, more right decisions will lead the club back on track.
