1. Roll out your achievements. Instead of the likes of talking about religion and how GMB is a dictator, talk about the achievements of GEJ. Contrary to the believe that GEJ has achieved nothing, GEJ's government has some achievements which so many Nigerians are not even aware of. This is because those who should be singing the songs of his achievements are busy making the opposition more popular by talking about religion and ethnic sentiments. I once created a thread about 30 achievements of GEJ's administration, but somehow the "oga's at the top of nairaland made that thread disappear. 2. Take the battle to real battle field. The President shouldn't even try to engage in an online war with the APC. The opposition is always more vocal than the ruling party, it's like that in all parts of the world. The opposition also has a way of getting lots of online followers. When Bush was going for a second term in the USA, he lost by a wide margin online, but won in real life. Even Obama lost online but won in real life. This is because opposition supporters, are usually louder than the ruling parties supporters. GEJ's men should move into the area which matters most. The real constituencies, go to rural areas, speak to the people in a language they understand, tell the people of your plans for them, right there on the campaign ground ask the people want they want and promise to get it done, start by ordering somebody to look into that project immediately. 3. Be an Orator. We all know that this is one thing GMB is not. An orator would always get more popularity than a seemingly introverted individual. A look at GEJ's new year message shows that his people have probably told him the word on the street as he talked with vigour and didn't sound like a puppet for the first time. GEJ should be ready to talk in a charismatic way on the campaign ground. 4. Initiate a debate We are used to president's avoiding debates. GEJ should face GMB in a debate. He should be ready to answer all questions with charisma, and also throw some tough questions to GMB, like how GMB hopes to start his social welfare package in a country like Nigeria. He should be able to ask GMB how GMB hopes to fight corruption as a civilian. GEJ himself should be able to tell us how it would be undemocratic for any president to sit in his room and order the arrest of any body. In that debate, he should be ready to talk like a democrat and show the world that he knows more than GMB knows when it comes to running a democratic government. 5. Expose some opposition governors. We have had cases where opposition governors construct a federal road, secretly send an inflated budget to the FG for the road, the FG refunds the money spent by the state, but the state governor keeps receiving glory for the road. In Edo state, it got a point where, when the FG is constructing a road, the state government starts planting flowers close to the road, and erect a sign board with the face of Oshiomole on the road, thereby making it look like Oshiomole is responsible for the road. GEJ's men should expose other cases such as this one. |

Nice one. Point five doesn't add up. More corrupt governors in his party via numbers than the opposition. No need to expose anybody, would turn to another season of open letters and scandals. Not good for the economy. Nice one though |

Point 1 to 5 r essentially wat should be. But u cnt give wat u dnt have. GEJ is using religion and ethnicity as tools to push for a another election win. He played on gullible nigerian's sensibilities and dubiously scaled through. The problem he is facing this time around, is that Nigerians can be dumb bt not so stupid. Many of who voted for him cos he was a minority Christian r some of the most hit suffers of his presidency. That is why people want Change kawai!. GMB offers a better alternative, he may not be the best we have, but he is currently the better one on the ballot. GMB can defeat an incumbent, let the elections be free and fair. Bt if rigging is brought in, toh I dnt know what the outcome will be. |

OP you just want to kill this man. - Be an Orator. Na small beans?. Dem day share oratory for market?. Abeg Yyu either have it or not. Jona does not have it. - Roll out your achievements. These has been overdone as we speak. They started too early and it is all getting drab and boring. Also January is going to be a long, hard, hungry month and I don't know whether anybody will be enjoying TAN and Okupe' s adverts when school fees have to be paid. -Intiate a debate. You are a very wicked man. You really want to kill our president. Debate what exactly; Chibok girls,$10bn missing, National debt increase, N21bn donation, Army retreating from Boko Haram, N2.7trillion loan proposals..et.c?. If there is such a debate today, all the opponent has to do is say some wild things on national TV and have the President grasping for words that won't be controversial and then people will say he lost the debate. Alternatively the man plays it less carefully and says something they will use to finish him during the vote. Please remember every harmless remark he makes in church recently has gotten him into trouble. - Expose some opposition governors. This is perhaps the only thing that can work but I suspect it is not for lack of trying. To go on this road you have to do forensics on your own actions and that of governors like Akpabio, Jang, Orji and Ministers like Wike, Dieziani et.c. There are rumours APC has a lot of damaging into already so maybe this is not a go area. |

NgeneUkwenu:There is no way to tame both parties from rigging except we want to start deceiving ourselves... The party that rigs the most wins the election, total free and fair elections in nigeria is centuries away... |
| Re: Five Things GEJ Should Do To Win The Presidentail Election by obi4eze(m): 3:15pm On Jan 02, 2015 |
He has already lost the election. We the masses have made up our minds. GEJ knows that he cannot win a free and fair election in the present Nigeria. Enough is enough of this cluelessness! My people prepare your PVC cards to vote our Dr Goodluck Jonathan and send him back to Otuoke. Vote Buhari/ Osinbajo 2015. Long Live GMB Long Live PYO Long Live Nigeria |

fitzmayowa:Following your logic, it is safe to say one can only rig where he is popular no matter how you try! |

fitzmayowa:No am saying South East/South South are the places where jonathan can rig successfully because of minimal resistance! |

NgeneUkwenu:Both parties are guilty of this offence... |
| Re: Five Things GEJ Should Do To Win The Presidentail Election by NgeneUkwenu(f): 3:40pm On Jan 02, 2015 |
fitzmayowa:Yes! But the party with the security apparatus tends to rely more on rigging especially where the expected losing margin is not too wide to attract countrywide condemnation and it's attendant violence! |
| Re: Five Things GEJ Should Do To Win The Presidentail Election by fitzmayowa: 3:44pm On Jan 02, 2015 |
NgeneUkwenu:Reason why stated above, that we are centuries away from complete free and fair elections... |

fitzmayowa:You are right anyway! But we can get there if we wish! |
| Re: Five Things GEJ Should Do To Win The Presidentail Election by Marvin67: 4:14pm On Jan 02, 2015 |
fitzmayowa:You're right. Both parties engage in rigging. The party in control of the security apparatus of a state has an upper hand as regards rigging in that state. If you look at the settings, PDP controls more states, governors are desperate to deliver their states to the presidency. APC can rig in the SW, but it would be difficult for them to rig in Ekiti and Ondo. Don't be surprised to see Jona win with a wide margin (after rigging) in those two states. |
