The people of SW have always shown good judgement at the ballot box. Prof Osinbajo will no doubt push them in APC way, not GMB way. No doubt PDP will try to change the result and claim victory, but the people of SW know who they support. One cannot take the utterances of paid political subordinates of Goodluck seriously. Bottom line is show me what you did in 6 years. Inside all the political deceits and lies, one thing remains clear. In Oshogbo, in Lagos, in Ibadan and indeed ALL parts of Nigeria, the promise of 2011 FAILED. Nigerians still don't feel SAFE, do not have POWER or HEALTH CARE and WATER and generally live in FILTH. Unemployment and underemployment is high. The banking and other service sector encourage young women employees to get accounts using "any means necessary". The Feds owe salary, The States same and the party PDP is seriously saying that they are doing a great job. Really?. Who are you kidding?. No one is saying APC will be better. Look carefully. Is there a difference between APC and PDP? There is none. It is the same crooks recirculating themselves, jumping from one dysfunctional house to another. Prof Osinbajo at this time in CLEAN and we ALL know it. The days are over when people believe the political nonsense. They may not say a word because they are poor and weak, but they know better. 6 Likes |

Mayour11: In Yorubaland someone told me, they regarded their good in-laws as their children. In view of this, Osinbajo is Awolowo's son and this goes a long way to tell you the fact that most Yoruba will naturally vote Osinbajo and invariably voting enmass the APC. Chief Obafemi Awolowo (the best ever produced leader of the Yorubaland). You are millennials or you don't know much about Chief Awolowo, see http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/46063/Obafemi-Awolowo http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CDoQtwIwBA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DMIXLM_ezptU&ei=eLimVObsPMarUcqAhPAK&usg=AFQjCNE_wePuoBhWoUkCJRRRFPvTswnhYw&bvm=bv.82001339,d.d24 I cannot vouch for any other things that may happen; but presently and apart from regional, religious and ethnic politics of Nigeria, the best thing that could happen to us as a nation is to remove the Clueless and wicked Government that does not care for anybody except the few that in agreement for continuous looting and killing of Nigeria and Nigerian's future. If he actually cares for his own people, why can't he get PIB bill passed into law? Has not been get approvals like $1.2billion for extra budgetary allocation on security without security anything. I also wish to advice OBJ to seek for a serious forgiveness from God for being part of those who made this terrible and costly mistake (GEJ) on Nigeria. 2 Likes |

Election is all about building a coalition that will make sure you get to the final number to take you over the finish line. In US, we call that Electoral College. The magic number is 270. Looking at GEJ situation he made a strategic error in his calculation when he got elected, you can see this in the people he appointed to important positions in his administration. Not one notable appointment from the Southwest was made by his administration. He wanted to build a coalition made up of the North, South South, Middle Belt, and the the South East. That coalition was designed with the sole objective of leaving the South West out of the power structure. That would have condemned the South West to political wilderness. Had GEJ taken the time to look at the election result that got him elected in the first place, he would have noticed that the coalition that got him elected were mostly made up of the South West, South South, South East, and some areas in the Middle Belt. The North were never with him, in fact had he kept that coalition intact the North would have been frozen out of power forever. Fast forward to the present the only coalition that appeared to be with him are mainly the South South, and the South East. That is not a winnable coalition. 9 Likes 1 Share |
