marieolae:  Quite funny as there are far more sophisticated security equipments whose disadvantage is just the cost. As an example, there's a video door phone that comes with an electronic lock. There's one that's vandal proof. Meaning, the thief has no way of vandalising it. A typical CCTV camera you see in banks can be configured for remote viewing such that, with the aid of your smart phone, you can comfortably view your house and belongings while you're far away.
