And I do believe there are good artisans who can make those Kitchen cabinets for him in Nigeria but you just need to find the good one. And especially when you are in diaspora, you have seen several good things that you want to emulate and when the artisans do this type of shady work that does not meet your expectations, we will surely get upset. Imagine wasting N800K,
and believe me some of them just want the money not the work; get rich quick mentality. They see those designs only in the catalog and they think they do it but until they actually do it, you will see the difference.. YES. I agreed with you, our artisans need to do more, but we can not wait for them, so we have to get the alternatives.

I agree with both of you, however with good supervision you can get some of our local guys to do a comparable job.
Sometimes tools and a little help here and there is all they need.
I had my kitchen and home cabinets done locally in Nigeria and the work came out perfect. I bought some tools in the US and also the cabinet doors from the US and shipped it home. All my carpenter did was to fabricate the frame, the interior and then mount the doors. Came out perfect!!

Savvy homeowners in the US knows to shop and make large purchases on no sales tax days. Additionally not all localities charge sales tax and astute and serious buyers can find that door at least 50% off at non box stores.

So yes the price could be $650 and definitely lower.

Oh yes we also enjoy coupons here. I have a 20% coupon for Lowes now. So the $650 door is actually $520.00 plus even 9% tax still only equals $566.00

No. I did not ship any cabinets for my project. That was someone else talking about that.
Good the design you copied is good and when it's painted you will love it more nd that pipe ios not bad either.

We know the fine lines in all coupons. It's good to be savvy, but the more savvier you are with these things, the more likely you are going to have to travel far from your location = increased transport cost. Read the fine lines bro.

You're starting to take things personal.

You seem to not be educated enough to know what merchandise and no sales tax day means.

Ultimately I have proven that I can get the door for less than $650 even with sales tax.

It's good to be a savvy and seasoned shopper and I enjoy doing so.

I've been able to build things that I normally wouldn't be able to by scoring deals.

3 feet door made of black steel is 35,000. Its painted with auto base paint.
4 feet door costs 50,000.
All comes with normal lock.
For doors made of galvanised steel covered with nylon formaica .
3 feet cost 50,000
4 feet cost 80,000.
Those with Isrseli multi lock cost 30,000 more.
All our door are reinforced internally and are aesthetically appealing but also stronger than Chinese doors of the same price.

Please, let me see more of your doors. I need contemporary/modern doors. Don't forget to include their cost. I am going to need some doors within the next two months. Also get a better camera that can show us the true pictures of your door. So get a good camera.

I am also in such a debacle. I need to make a choice.. imported turkey/chinese doors or steel doors whether locally fabricates or not..
Those imported doors dont look strong to me... they start falling apart after about 2 years..
