It's a basic BTR-3.

That is a BTR(vehicle) sysTem with a "repair and recovery crane winch" that comes with d btr system, some even comes with blade like the MT-LB tracked IfV .
You know for every or most IFV/AFV or APC there are different variants,let's take the BTR and I'll list all the variants. The repair and recovery r usually used by the engineers corps like the picture you asked about? The following are the variants of btr ;

Command and control post
Staff and command vehicle
Reconnainance vehicle

Repair and recovery(the one in d picture)
Medical support vehicle
Fire support vehicle
With a two gun 23mm turrent.

And secondly on the question u asked about the gun on the btr, no heavy calibre , AA/kords/Dshk gun mounted yet. That thing u see is a support system the gun is going to rest up-on when operated.

The only thing I don't know is that thing that looks like a box mounted on the guns on our ifv. And I have noticed it on the pictures posted by henry120 especially the guns mounted on the MT-LB tracked ifv and even on the mounted guns on d T-72 .
May be is a targteting system or laser guide or something I don't know just guessing ?

Winch for tow should be huge and visible at the back for ARV, what's that 'gun' in the front? I still don't get it. Sources say Nigeria did not buy any BTR-3 ARV version. We still need an ID.

I think they where just painted and refurbished !

When you look @ the last picture, its not that clear u would see that d three btr system are totally defferent !

Its a mount for a gun, its attached to a swivel mount right infront of a hatch

They are different. The photo of the MI-35p in the air was taking in december in kiev, while the helicopter in the 2nd image was taken months ago in Nigeria.

They both come from ukraine though.
