Jonathan's Presidenency A Major Set Back For Igbo Presidency Project by dinachi(op): 6:23pm On Jan 05, 2015
It is very simple...If Jonathan has allowed the north to complete their term..by 2015..the presidency would have come back to the south and specifically the south east... Now he is coming back to finally destroy the country 's economy..God forbid..he wins..the Igbo presidency project is set back another 12 years..Nigerians should be wise and vote GMB to at least ensure that it comes to 8years

sorry to say this but the ibos lost their chance when they bizarrely ignored GMB when he picked okadigbo and eme-ezoeke as running mates on two different occasions.
the way ndigbo play politics makes u scratch your head in amazement. Nigeria is very large and to rule, u must build bridges. But out of sentiment, they continue to display political naivety.
if buhari wins, after 8yrs, power surely goes back to the south west cos they were wise enough to invest in the project 8yrs earlier.
ibos hv boxed themselves into a corner, now they will support jona for reasons even they themselves don't understand cos the man has failed in the promises he gave them. So jona jus adds a dubious Ibo middle name and the Ibos become excited.
unless they come to the realization of letting the civil war episode rest once and for all in the past, they sadly will remain in the political abyss

Mr Jonathans presidency is a total set back for the whole country and not only the Igbo people. Be honest and ask yourself if you are in any way better off than when we all in one voice opposed Turai Yar'Aduas cabal and fought for Mr Jonathan to assume the presidency?
The man is a monumental failure. Corruption, insecurity, insurgency,
strikes, unemployment and destruction of the economy are the legacies he has bequethed to this potentially great nation. Mr Jonathan has refused to accept responsibility for his failure but has constantly and consistently blamed anyone but himself for fiddling with his Fedora hat while Nigeria has continued to burn. Do you honestly feel that this man can effect any or even a little change in the fortunes of this country even if we give him another four years? The answer is a resounding NO!
Be wise Nigerians. Do not vote for religion or ethnicity in 2015. Vote for a leader who can take this country out of the wilderness. Vote for change.
Let us for once take our destiny into our own hands.

I don't understand this obsession with Igbo presidency, as if Igbo win the presidency all our problems will be solved, ask yourself that region that have ruled this country for greater part are they better than the Igbo's.

This is very sad. So you don't know the importance of Igbos tasting it?

Hold it! Your igbo brothers were fooled to accept the North - South rotational presidency by the more politically savvy North. Why did the Igbos allow the tripod system to be destroyed? Why should Igbo allow itself to be lumped with the Yorubas? Please, free Jonathan. Igbos failed politically. Igbos fall my hand big time.

Wait o! When are we going to have an igbo president? APGA should have come out clear to state their mind. Buhari will shock Nigerians I swear. He will be the Man to carry out the crusade for an Igbo presidency. My joy for the igbo ppl is that they have a hope in rochas.

You are saying that if the igbo vehemently supported buhari/okadigbo or buhari/umezuoke, they would have bulldozed a "do or die" obasanjo out of power? This must be some theoritical nonsense because in praticals, obasanjo more than any former incumbent was ready to bamboozle his way to power utilising every coersive instrument of the state. Alligning with a weak, ideologically starved opposition against a rampaging presidency desperate for victory is dumb politics!.. it is starting to look like some of you are highly frustrated with the igbo refusal to join you in commiting political suicide. . Jonathans presidency pushed igbo presidency backwards a bit, but that doesn't negate the fact that igbos have made great strides politicaly since then. The way forward for the igbo is is within the pdp, not outside it.

Igbos play politics of any government in power.. I'm very sure if GMB wins come next month thesame igbos will be the first to run to Aso rock drumming support for President Muhammed "Chukwuemeka" Buhari, they will remind the whole world that GMB's first daughter is married to an igbo man.. Smh. So automatically any president at all is an igbo man by default. grin
