South East Group for Buhari Campaign organization
has said that for the Igbos to be properly positioned in
the government that is going to be formed by the All
Progressives Congress, APC, in 2015, they should
come together and vote for General Muhammadu
Buhari during the 2015 presidential election .
The leaders of the group, Prince Paul Ikonne and Barr.
Kingsley Ugbaja who spoke toSunday Sun in Umuahia
said that Buhari’s victory in the election was assured.
According to them, South Easterners need to join the
moving train, key into the Buhari campaign and vote
for him so that they would not be left behind in the
Nigerian project.
Igbos, they said have suffered so much under the
present dispensation as their support for the Federal
Government has not earned them anything.
They decried the state of the roads in the South-east,
stating that they are all impassable now.
Some roads that used to take twenty five minutes to
ply, now takes six and a half hours”, they lamented.
“The Aba – Ikot Ekpene road is closed completely. It
is not motorable at all, so is Umuahia-Arochukwu
road, Umuahia- Bende road, Umuahia – Uzuakoli
road, then the major express road, Enugu – Port-
hacourt-road or even Umuahia – Owerri road. For six
years now, we have not got anything from the Federal
Government,” they cried out.
.They advised South-easterners to shun the religious
propaganda being peddled by the ruling party, stating
that APC is not a religious party but a national party
that has the mission to redeem Nigeria from its
present doldrums .
“What we are talking about is a way to move on with
Nigeria because PDP Government has failed us, and
everybody is embracing change brought about by
APC. Poverty does not know religion. employment
does not know religion, infrastructural failure does not
know religion, religion has no role to play in
governance. All we want is a straight person to come
and fight corruption which is the bane of our
problem”.
“We want the South-east to join this group . We are
setting up chapters in all the South-east states
because we want Buhari to have at least 85 percent of
the votes in the South-east so that they can move with
the rest of Nigeria. The North has collapsed into APC,
the south west the same. What is left is just the South
east, and we want our people to be stakeholders in
this project,” leaders of the group said.
According to them, Buhari is the only man who even
his opponents in PDP are recommending to save this
country because he has integrity.
They said that the group will embark on door to door
mobilization of “our people to tell them that this has
nothing to do with religion. This government has
failed to the point of not being able to protect her
citizens .

I can see firefire is slowly becoming a neutral...

In readiness to joining APC?

A new year resolution?

Strategic Pseudo-realignment? (Whatever that means, but at least it describes what's in my head tongue).

May God bless Fr Mbaka! That man of God practically turned the table against pdp in that region; these isolated supports springing up for the general are as a result of the shockwave created by Fr. Mbaka .
APC is teaching pdp how to roll- welcome to a 'subtle' religious politics.

While some inconsequential nairaland ibos want us to believe that GEJ already has the SE on locked down. Very soon, a strong statement will be made which will show that the SS is also willing to join the sailing ship. MB already made theirs by calling for the arrest of asari dokubo.

APC and lies...
The National Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA), Chief Victor Umeh, has explained why the party decided to support incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan in next year’s president polls.

Speaking in Awka, the Anambra state capital on Saturday during the presentation of APGA’s flag to candidates of the party who will contest in Anambra State House of Assembly and National Assembly polls in 2015, Umeh said that APGA’s resolve to support President Goodluck Jonathan at the federal level was for continuity of the transfGov. Obiano.

The governor reiterated his administration’s resolve to fight crime, and urged indigenes of the state to return home for the yuletide, as “criminal elements have been sacked from Anambra.’’

It would be recalled that Umeh had stated few weeks ago at a lecture “Towards a successful 2015 election: The role of the opposition”, that since there was no Igbo contesting for the president, it would be a waste of time aligning with the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He said: “We have been lampooned and condemned because we are supporting President Jonathan – let me tell you quite frankly, until we lead our people on the right track we are wasting our time.”

Umeh explained that in supporting Jonathan the party had to look at the dynamics of politics in Nigeria with total reflection on the journey of the Igbos.

He said: “Jonathan has shown respect for the Igbos even if he has challenges running the affairs of the country, most of which are man-made. APGA has no apologies for supporting President Jonathan – what we offer is constructive criticism.”

APGA’s confirmation of its support for Jonathan in next year’s presidential poll is coming after the National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, warned Nigerians not to choose the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.ormation agenda.

Jonathan has done to us,what no ex-president or head of state Buhari inclusive coudn't do,years after independence.
Ranging from Enugu In't Airport,to Onitsha port,to functional railway system from PH to Enugu,to improved power supply in SE,to Owerri-Onitsha federal highway,to Enugu-Ebonyi-Calabar federal highway, etc, even more coming.
We are not the only zone
in Nigeria.

We will support him,and stand for him.

Obagelli, what did Buhari do for us,as head of state?..

I don't know about individual opinion of every South East voter but one thing I know is that Imo APC candidates involved in elections at State level are canvassing to vote for Jonathan in 14th February, 2014

The politicians don't want to offend the sensitivity of the voters hence they prefer to support GEJ at national level while they go for Rochas the following week.
