A Prosperous New year to u all, most loved nairalanders. From d best of ma ability, from observations also,I've being able to place various kinds of citizens hu have attained the age of independence thus acquired the right to vote and be voted for, into a class of five,This includes people and their varying degrees of interest and participation in the political sector, and of course, wen it comes to elections. let's go through my list... *1.THE EVER ACTIVE CITIZENS people under this class display awesome interest and enthusiasm towards politics and especially during election periods. Nairaland can boast of housing this set of people. They always make known their various political parties and their *men of the year* in every thread they comment in,irrespective of d main theme that thread dwells upon. If u are in this category....KUDOS TO U ![]() *2.THOSE WHO LET THEIR BELLIES DO THE VOTING ![]() It's that time again, when rallies, campaigns, and various political meetings are held,in these gatherings,it's a usual sight to see rice, and other food items being distributed to people. Beneficiaries from ds "charitable sharing"will place dia votes in favour of the benefactor, disregarding his/her ability/inability to lead... #stockTheirPantriesWithFoodAndTheyWillForeverCastTheirWretchedVotesForYou ...*3.THOSE VOTE UNCONSCIOUSLY Mostly aged men and women in rural areas, fall under this category. what amuses me,is the fact that they would beat d hot sun, standing in endless queues to get registered, and den on the day of voting, due to inability to spot the right party logo, become deceived by promiscuous officials, to votn fr wtevet party dey stand for #diarisGodooo *4.THE PASSIVE... This class comprises male and female voters,hu posses voter's card, tho bt are warm and not all dat interested in politics and related matters. Under ds class would u find pple hu will never memorise d date for elections, only to pop out on d eve of election day to ask odas fr d date of election ![]() *5.THOSE WHO WALLOW IN APATHY,TOWARDS POLITICS AND ITS RELATED MATTERS(elections inclusive) This set ehnn....A voter's card can neva be seen in dia briefcase or wallet, dependn on wia they store important documents. They are satisfied being led, never putting forth suggestions or rather participating in anytn politics, they can only gt a voter's card on d grounds of persuasion or sermons from the religious....after sef,on dat day dey wil, gettn d card would be like trying to mob a sandy field, cos dem no knw wia e de sef ![]() ![]() ...where do u fall?? feel free to add yours |

Typing... Modified: I belong to the passive category. I don't have time and strength to fight and argue because of some set of people who doesn't care about us, They only care for us during campaign periods. ** in Michael Jackson's voice **...All I wanna say is that, they don't really care about us |

I fall under those who would register, who have a candidate of their choice and would encourage others to vote the person but wouldn't leave their house on the day of election for reasons best known to them ![]() |
