For 3weeks now,av been getting replies of dey wud come for retrieval, hasten d process,"excalate" d retrieval bla bla bla,but yet d fone is still with us.Is it not fraudulent that Jumia wudnt meet up with its warranty and yet still supplies orders of d same item to otherpeople;is it not fraudulent.

More reason you are advised to check the product properly before paying.

When I got the innjoo note, I did thorough investigation on the device(even installed and ran antutu benchmark) before I paid the guy that delivered it.

would have done the same if i was around when it happened (as i sabi strong head wella in cases like this), . But the delivery guy insisted she takes it once she opened it for inspection.
but the jumia stuff shouldn't be a try your chance issue

She Ordered for the phone on the 17 of Dec, 2014, an extra battery and screen guard.
only to get the phone with a defective front camera. The front camera doesn't even show anything. it just shows blurred colors.
She has contacted this so called jumia for a replacement, which she did withing 14days or delivery (in agreement with their terms and conditions).

Now it's one story or another from Jumia. it's the 5th of January and no one from jumia has bothered coming to replace the phone.

has anyone experienced such similar issue from jumia, would need to know solutions.
Although we have already devised a means of getting her money back, which includes legal means.
thanks

I just got my Innjoo note yesterday from jumia also. And I noticed immediately that the front camera is either 0.1kilopixel or non-existent was so furiuos that I slept with frustration filled in me. Only to realize this morning that there is an extra protective blurred film nylon covering the front camera, upon removal my front camera has returned to Normalcy. I will suggest you try same. Who knows might be thesame problem.

I ve been convincing people from buying this fake Mt8312, it's a complete waste of money in Nigeria come think of it's useless Ui with rubbish graphics and worst part is the fulking camera. Innjoo F2 tablet is a total crap. The more I hold the compromised tab the more I get frustrated, thinking of breaking it.

How can u come out here requesting for those details again.D details of my own transaction is with u people since 17/12/14 and countless emails I have sent with no action taken. Now u come here requesting for same when the proper, honest thing to to do is to check thru ur mails and sort out unresolved complaints.
To me this is just a smokescreen to give jumia a good image while still sticking to d dishonest and utterly disgusting way my own issues have been handled for 3weeks.
If u nid any info one of your agents is on this thread(IAmAbeGroup). I bliv he shud know me because he handled d initial placing of the order
U expect any sensible person to post personal details on a social forum. It's either u are a bogus jumia moniker with criminal intentions in mind or u don't know your job one bit.

Jumia cares.

If Jumia truly cared:
They should have known about this issue and how to fix it (really a small fix, removing an invisible extra film covering the front camera).
cos my sis is not the first person complaining about this particular issue.

This shows jumia hasn't cared to attend to any complaint of this kind, ppl may have just being in luck to remove the extra film, or at least have an FAQ on this issue.

i am sure Jumia too thought the phone was faulty and has avoided sending someone to come and pick the phone while busy giving the same reply as the message quoted above every time a call is placed to them. They surely don't waste time in delivery a new order and "gingering" to collect money.

Greatly to nairalanders for their support. The mods can front page this for all those facing this same issue to take a cue.

I advise u tell your sista not to touch any so called film covering d front camera because there's nothing like that.Any attempt to try any such will damage d fone further and giv jumia d excuse they av been waiting to say d damage is out of d warranty terms.
Just think of this.If jumia was not being dishonest why hasn't it for 3weeks now retrieved d phone and given it to its technical department to fix by removing d film if that's trully d cause.Reflect on this critically and I wud advise again, if d film is d problem, jumia shd retrieve and fix it themselves because its a technical issue which by all known standards in d world of gadgets is supposed to be fixed by personnel with such technical knowhow.

For 3weeks and counting an online retail store refuses to rectify a defective item supplied despite several calls and emails and have further acted unprofessionally by not even responding for a week now while u are stuck with an item that's effectively useless to you.
I wonder how Nigerians even think.Maybe Jumia has been getting away with such acts because they know d average Nigerian wudnt raise any dust.
Can Jumia supply any defective product in any civilized country and not immediately rectify d issue or pay thru its nose?
But dey feel they av come to a society of anything goes and can get away with anything.
If we all continue keeping quiet, such fraudulent acts would continue.

Exactly my point, they arent being honest, atleast in d space of 3weeks,someone shuld have come to pick it up, or a technical agent must have called her, since it's a common issue, rather its d same "we have sent a dispatch agent blah blah blah, sorry for inconvenience"
Removing of the film(its like a small translucent paper) solved d issue, would upload pics of before and after when m on system.

. don't be deceived. Konga isn't any better. Konga also sold a defective Samsung galaxy Note 4 for 136,000 which also developed software issue same day of delivery.

Took countless calls to get them to let me return the phone.

Now I have returned it through DHL another convenient story has crept up about them not having received the phone despite DHL sending me electronic proof of delivery with signature of the recipient.

Its exactly what am saying. These companies feel that they can get away with anything in Nigeria because Nigerians dey assume won't take any action.
Imagine Jumia selling a defective item and refusing to do the right thing. Its like telling someone "we av scammed u,do your worse".
Its exactly because of this fraudulent act by Jumia on my own part,am furious and want to exploit available social media, newspaper publication and consumer protection council options b4 taking necessary next step.

These are professional scammers. Bringing up countless tales by moonlight to delay doing the right thing.
I'm just waiting for their 10 working days timeline for replacement to elapse. I will take this up legally, my lawyers are already working on it, they seem pretty excited about this I wonder why. Right from the onset I have been advised to document everything including photographic, video and voice recordings of calls to their cc and I'm glad I took their advise.
Contacted quite a few angry customers I found researching on konga facebook and twitter feed with the same return issue some dragging up to 8 weeks and they are willing to help even as witnesses or co-plaintiff. This might even turn out to be a big class action suit.
OP you need to sue jumia and demand Heavy compensation. Nigerians need to wake up, useless companies can't be taking us for a ride and not pay dearly for it. Your time is equals money, anyone wasting your time unnecessarily has got to pay. Even for the emotional and psychological stress they are putting you through add to that the breach of contract, they say they have a return/replace/refund guarantee and they have refused to act, its grounds to seek redress.
When one customer does this and wins millions in compensation, these people will sit up. Plus the negative publicity will prevent others from falling victim to the konga scam.
Something has got to be done, its getting too much.
