There was tension in the GRA, Benin City Monday following the demolition of the residence of the immediate past Vice Chancellor of University of Benin along with his personal belongings.
Although the state government is yet to make a public comment on the development, occupants of the property accused the state government of being the brains behind the demolition in spite of the fact that a case on the property is before an appellate court.

Happening right now at main gate of Uniben Ugbowo staff and students of Uniben are protesting peacefully over the issue
