Settings > More Networks > Mobile Network > Network Mode.

Set to WCDMA Only!!!

Pls mine is having same prob too. When I go to options - more networks - mobile networks.. I only see mobile data, data roaming, access point names and network operators. Its at&t. Pls help.

Which Sim Is His Airtel Line Placed.. If he placed it in sim2 let him swap it some phones never show hspda sign on sim2.. Still confused contact me 08134375481

S3 is a single sim phone

@op is it the international version of s3 your friend has? I mean GT-I9300 .IF yes, he should flash original ROM or upgrade
