I was traveling from makurdi to gwel west local goverment this evenning, when i came to a check point i was stop by a police officer, when i stop he told me 'DO SOME THING' as a regullar i knew he was tailking about money, i then told him in tiv language that i dont have any thing on me, he then as me to drop the gallon of fuel i was carrying, i wanted to pleed with him but he took the fuel (thirty litters) to their vehicle and say he is taking it to the station. I ask what have i done? He say selling black market is a crime. They were three of them on duty with a hillus no 133. (operation zender) the one who colleted my fuel name is Aonderver TERGUN, i went to his colleague to help me talk to him (Aondoaver) to let me go but he refferd me back to the one who colleted my fuel. So i dicide to wait helplessly, as i was waiting more than 5 motor cycle carrying fuel in the same gallon came and every one of them were allow to go (after paying 50 naira). I then as ask the police man his reason for not holding those people (carrying fuel too) and he says to me is becuse i was claming to be stubborn, that i most pay the sum of 500 naira before they could release me. I pleaded for over one hour. I was held around 4:20 they delayed me till when it was about time for them to close the one that colleted the fuel told me to bring any thing if not they we go with it. This was around 5:30 i gave hime 100 naira, he colleted the money and ask me to go and take my fuel from the vehicle ang go. That next time i should respond to their demand quickly (give them money with out hesitation)
